The chauffeur, Elder Axel, turned to look at Sylvan Cheney: "CEO, should we wait?"
In his mind, their CEO didn’t like waiting for anyone.
What’s more, when Jasmine Yale had just left, Sylvan Cheney didn’t agree to wait.
"Give the painkillers." Sylvan Cheney’s voice was hoarse. He’d had quite a bit to drink, his throat felt uncomfortable, and he had a headache.
"Sure, sure." The chauffeur took the painkillers and a bottle of mineral water from the glove compartnt.
The car lights ca on, casting a warm yellow glow inside.
"CEO, do you have a headache? Should I call Doctor Canary?"
"No need, I just drank too much."
They didn’t have to wait long.
Jasmine Yale ca back with a cup, walking quickly along the roadside.
"CEO, I’m opening the door." Jasmine Yale opened the car door, surprised that Sylvan Cheney was waiting for her, compliant for the ti being.
The cup in Jasmine Yale’s hand was pink, a gift from Sylvan Cheney back in the day.
"What’s this?" Sylvan Cheney glanced at it indifferently.
"It’s a hangover tea. I texted my aunt while I was on the road, and she made it in advance. It’s very effective." Jasmine Yale smiled warmly.
Sylvan Cheney frowned. No wonder she was busy on her phone the whole way.
Elder Axel looked at Jasmine Yale cautiously and held out his hand to block her: "Miss Yale, don’t give the CEO any random stuff to drink."
As soone working for Sylvan Cheney, he had the responsibility to protect him.
He didn’t dare let Sylvan Cheney drink this dark tea, fearing ill intent.
"This isn’t random stuff." With that, Jasmine Yale took a sip herself. "See, there’s no problem, and it tastes good. I specifically added locust honey, your favorite honey."
"Hm?" Sylvan Cheney looked up, his deep eyes locking onto her.
Jasmine Yale paused.
She had misspoken.
"Drink it while it’s hot; its effectiveness will decrease once it’s cold. It’s great for hangovers and can relieve headaches." Jasmine Yale held the cup with both hands, looking at him eagerly.
Elder Axel blocked her, looking troubled: "Miss Yale, it’s not necessary. The CEO just took so dication; he’ll be fine."
"dication? Why did you take dication? What’s wrong?" Jasmine Yale asked nervously.
"Please get out of the car," Sylvan Cheney didn’t answer her.
"This hangover tea is really fine, and it’s still hot. You’ll see its effectiveness once you try it." Jasmine Yale pleaded, looking at him.
The cup in her hands emitted white steam, the fragrance of the hangover tea filling the car.
Elder Axel stretched his arm out between Jasmine Yale and Sylvan Cheney: "Miss Yale, don’t make things difficult for the CEO."
"Jasmine Yale, I don’t want to repeat myself. Get out." Sylvan Cheney said coldly.
"It takes over half an hour to brew this properly. I specifically instructed my aunt to make it. Can’t you just try a sip? The hangover effect is really good."
"I said get out!" Sylvan Cheney shot her a cold glance, "Don’t waste my ti with this again in the future!"
Elder Axel quickly added: "Miss Yale, please get out. I need to take the CEO back. The CEO’s ti is very valuable; we can’t afford delays. Please don’t make it difficult for ."
Imdiately, hot tears welled up in Jasmine Yale’s eyes.
She bit her lip, held it tight, not letting the dampness spill from her eyes, but her eyes turned red.
She retracted her hand and lowered her head: "Drink it if you want, don’t if you don’t. No one is begging you. If you have a headache at night, you deserve it. If you can’t sleep, it’s your own fault. Go ahead and take your pills, but be careful, too many may lead to infertility."
