“Ah…” Jasmine Yale jumped up excitedly first, grabbing the doctor’s arm, “Is it serious? Is the bleeding serious?”
“dication is needed, and the patient must stay in the hospital for a few days for observation.” The doctor said calmly, “Moreover, the patient has a fever, which makes the situation rather tricky.”
“There won’t be any life-threatening issues, right?”
“No, there won’t be, don’t worry. The main thing is recovery.” The doctor said, “The patient’s constitution is quite good. This fever is due to overwork, simply put, he didn’t take care of his own body.”
“I understand…”
She just knew he was too tired these days.
“For the following days, the focus should be on rest and recovery. The patient’s family needs to be attentive, controlling diet, resting schedule, and mood.” The doctor advised.
“I understand.”
“Are you his family?”
“No… a colleague.”
“Oh, please call his family as soon as possible. This isn’t a joke; soone must take care of him.”
“I will call them. Where is he now?”
“He has been transferred to the ward. The fever hasn’t subsided, and he is very weak.”
“Can I go see him?”
“You can, but it would be better to notify his family first.”
Notify the family? Notify Erin Janus? Jasmine hesitated.
Erin is still at the bar, and she certainly wouldn’t answer her call. Secretly, Jasmine didn’t want to notify Erin.
Erin looks like the type who grew up as a princess in a sugar bowl, not ticulous enough, and lacking patience. Can she take good care of Sylvan Cheney?
But, it’s hard to say; after all, it was Erin who saved Sylvan back then and she probably took care of him for a long ti.
After so thought, Jasmine decided to notify Kade Yuvan.
“Assistant Yuvan.” Jasmine said as she walked toward the ward, making the call.
“Jasmine?” The other end had a groggy voice and even yawned, “What’s wrong?”
“The CEO is in the hospital; you should co over. It’s the third floor of the inpatient departnt at the city center hospital.”
“In the hospital?” Kade Yuvan suddenly beca wide awake, “What happened? How did he end up in the hospital? Wasn’t he fine this afternoon and went to the estate?”
“It’s due to overwork, and he drank too much. His lifestyle and diet are irregular; there are lots of problems all over.”
“What did the doctor say?”
“The doctor said there’s gastric bleeding. He needs to be hospitalized for a few days for observation, and soone must accompany him, so I’m calling you.”
Kade Yuvan didn’t even have ti to wonder why Jasmine was with CEO Cheney so late. He hurriedly jumped out of bed, making the call while dressing up.
“Wait for ; I’ll drive over right away, very soon.”
“Mmm, I’ll wait for you to co, no rush, drive safely. I’m at the hospital.”
“Okay.” Hanging up the phone, Kade quickly went downstairs to get the car.
Jasmine walked to the ward, and when she pushed the door open, the room temperature was just right, neither cold nor hot.
Sylvan Cheney lay quietly on the hospital bed, looking pale, still unconscious. A needle was inserted in the back of his hand, and the dicine from the IV bottle was flowing down the tube.
The room had a dicinal sll, but it wasn’t overwhelming.
Jasmine walked over, bent down, and touched his forehead. It was still scorching; the fever hadn’t subsided.
She sat by the bed, her gaze focused on his face.
It had been a long ti since she looked at him so earnestly. He’s still so handso, with profound features, deep and serene eyes, tightly pressed thin lips.
Jasmine reached out and gently caressed his face.
Only at this ti did she dare to secretly touch him once.
