The wind in the garden carried a fresh fragrance. Leaves fell to the ground, emitting a "squeak" sound when stepped on.
Sotis Jasmine Yale would chat briefly with the elderly, feeling quite happy.
The pain in her stomach had disappeared, and she didn’t plan to stay in the hospital any longer. She would pack up and leave in the afternoon.
Feeling tired, a thin layer of sweat ford on her nose. She sat on a bench, resting her chin in her hand, watching the people walking by.
Ti suddenly seed to slow down.
Maybe it was the drowsiness from pregnancy, or perhaps the garden’s moderate temperature, or the severe lack of sleep from the previous day. After sitting for a while, she started to nod off.
She was both tired and sleepy.
"Miss, if you want to sleep, you can go to the lounge. You might catch a cold outside." She didn’t know how long had passed when an elderly person kindly shook her arm to remind her.
Jasmine woke up, still groggy and very sleepy.
She nodded, "Thank you."
Getting up, she headed towards the ward.
Subconsciously, she didn’t want to go back because her ward was next to Sylvan Cheney’s.
Hesitating for a mont, she turned around and went to the milk tea shop outside the hospital.
Ordering a cup of honey grapefruit tea, she sat in a quiet spot, drinking while resting her chin in her hand, dozing off.
The sleepiness was omnipresent. She yawned and fell asleep at the table.
This ti, no one disturbed her.
Besides... the milk tea shop was very quiet, very quiet. Sleeping here was quite comfortable.
She truly slept for a long, long ti.
While Jasmine was asleep, the corners of her lips naturally curled into a sweet and charming smile. Her long eyelashes cast a circle of shadows on her eyelids, making her appear even more purely enchanting.
It wasn’t until the shop gradually filled up and beca noisy that Jasmine rubbed her eyes.
She accidentally slept for over two hours; she was becoming quite the little pig.
Before sleeping, she had set her phone to silent. Upon waking, she found out that both Sylvan Cheney and Kade Yuvan had called her.
Why were they calling her?
Jasmine called back Kade, still sounding half-asleep, "Assistant Yuvan..."
"Jasmine? Where are you? I’ve been looking for you in the hospital for a while and couldn’t find you. Where are you?" Kade’s voice was full of anxiety.
"Sorry, I went to the milk tea shop outside and accidentally fell asleep."
"You really had us worried. You actually fell asleep."
"I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Is there sothing you need from ?"
"There is. Do you know what ti it is now?"
Jasmine looked at the clock hanging in the milk tea shop, puzzled, "Eleven o’clock, why?"
"It’s lunchti, right? Wait for at the door, don’t move. I’ll co to pick you up, and we can have lunch together. I have so work matters to discuss with you. I’ve been given your Monday draft by the CEO, and I’m working on it."
"Thank you, Assistant Yuvan." For so reason, a bitter taste welled up in Jasmine’s throat.
Did Sylvan Cheney assign all her work to Kade?
Having soone take over, does that an she is going to be fired soon?
Thinking of this, Jasmine felt an indescribable sense of helplessness in her chest. This feeling gradually spread, making her very uncomfortable.
If they fire her, then so be it. At worst, she could find another job.
Actually, over the course of more than a month, she had grown quite fond of her secretarial job. She learned many things she couldn’t learn in school and had seen a lot of the world.
