Jasmine Yale guessed, he might have too much money lately, or he’s just addicted to sending red envelopes.

“Jasmine Yale.” Sylvan Cheney paused, wanting to say sothing, but hesitated several tis before finally speaking, “I don’t dislike children that much.”
His voice was not loud, but Jasmine Yale heard it.
Her hand stopped on the keyboard, and she looked up in shock, thinking she had misheard.
But the shock in her eyes only lingered for a few seconds before dissipating.
She tucked the stray hair behind her ear and smiled, “I know.”
How could she not know?
If he really disliked children, how could he be so good to Chale Cheney?
Sylvan Cheney frowned, obviously displeased, “Idiot.”
He lowered his head, continuing to eat as if he hadn’t said anything just now.
The air suddenly grew tense, Jasmine Yale bit her lip, her cheeks burning.
