Chapter 1968: Chapter 1968: A Man’s Heart Is Like a Needle at the Bottom of the Sea
This decision-making eting saw the attendance of nurous people, all dressed to the nines.
In the venue, Kade Yuvan was bustling back and forth tirelessly, while Sylvan Cheney and Erin Janus dealt with entertainnt venue personnel.
Jasmine Yale kept her head down, continuing to work on her tasks.
A considerable number of journalists were present, marking it as the biggest financial event in Cakago for the latter half of the year.
The weather today was nice, with high temperatures; looking out, the sky was blue and the clouds were white.
After a busy morning, Kade Yuvan finally caught a breather, walked to Jasmine Yale’s side, and grabbed a bottle of mineral water from the table.
“Assistant Yuvan, you’ve worked hard!” Jasmine Yale looked up and smiled.
“It’s nothing, I’m used to it.” Kade Yuvan hurriedly took a couple of sips of water, “Are you compiling the eting minutes?”
“Sothing like that, I won’t run around helping like you are.”
“No need, no need, you’re pregnant, and a few more assistants just arrived, so we have enough hands.”
Jasmine Yale made an “OK” gesture.
Kade Yuvan went back to his busyness, while attendees gradually arrived and found their seats.
The eting started promptly at ten in the morning.
Everything was ready: presentations from both parties, signatures from representatives, and commorative photos.
Jasmine Yale sat at her guest seat, sotis looking at her tablet and at other tis watching the people on stage.
Sylvan Cheney was in a black suit, formal and solemn.
With the project officially reached, the amusent park would soon kick-off.
Unfortunately, the amusent park belonged to Jas Group, not to him, and certainly not to her.
Jasmine Yale sighed softly in her heart, her misty eyes fixed on him on stage with a smile on her lips.
Kade Yuvan, sitting next to her, nudged her elbow and whispered with a smile: “Who are you looking at?”
“Ah.” Jasmine Yale snapped back to reality, blushing lightly, “No one, just daydreaming.”
“Is the president handso?”
“Just so-so, I think.”
“If the president is so-so, what about ? How am I?”
“You’re the most handso.”
“Haha.” Kade Yuvan laughed; Jasmine Yale really knew how to flatter soone.
Since the first ti Kade Yuvan t Jasmine Yale, he had a good impression of her, and after working together for nearly two months, he could say his impression was very positive.
She’s capable, ambitious, diligent, and hardworking, with many, many good qualities.
More importantly, she’s kind and optimistic, always loves to smile, and her smile is exceptionally attractive—eyes like stars, eyebrows like a crescent moon.
The atmosphere in the conference hall wasn’t very tense; after the representative photo session ca the Q&A with the press.
Sylvan Cheney and Erin Janus were surrounded by a crowd of journalists, with Kade Yuvan and so bodyguards helping out nearby.
Pregnant, Jasmine Yale didn’t intend to join the hustle and bustle, so she sat in place, propping her head and silently observing her tablet.
She was already working as fast as she could, and she found that the feeling of striving together with him… was sothing she had never experienced before.
This feeling was quite captivating for her.
Even a bit heart-stirring.
Jasmine Yale propped her head, yawned, and her stomach grumbled a few tis.
She glanced at the ti; it was alti.
Since their unpleasant parting the last ti, she wasn’t sure if his impression of her had beco terrible; when they t in the elevator in the morning, he didn’t greet her, seemingly quite angry.
She didn’t understand why—was it just because she took a phone call?
A man’s heart is like a needle at the bottom of the sea, impossible to fathom.
Jasmine Yale shook her head and continued reviewing the proposal.
