Early morning.
Jasmine Yale went to the bedroom to review a few project plans, then told a story to the baby.
Butler Santana was cooking lunch in the kitchen, and the aroma could be slled throughout the house.
Sunlight stread in from outside the curtains, illuminating the floor, filling the entire house with light.
Even though it was a rented place, Jasmine Yale felt it was quite cozy.
The window was open, a gentle breeze fluttering the curtains, inducing drowsiness, and carrying the most primitive scent of early autumn everywhere.
Just then, there was a knock on the door!
Butler Santana heard it first and opened the door.
"Who are you looking for?" Butler Santana stared at the two won outside—she didn’t recognize them.
"Is Jasmine Yale living here?" Stacy crossed her arms, giving a cold glance around. "I’m her colleague. Tell her to co out!"
"Jasmine is resting. If you have business, co back tomorrow." Butler Santana was perceptive, quickly noticing that these two won didn’t co with good intentions.
"Resting? Early in the morning? Maybe she was tired out last night, still restless while pregnant, flirting with n all day long! What trash!" Stacy said arrogantly, her tone displeased, her expression even worse.
"Our ho doesn’t welco troublemakers. Please leave."
Butler Santana stood at the door, her expression darkening.
They weren’t colleagues, they ca to stir trouble.
"Where’s Jasmine Yale? Tell her to co out! Good dogs don’t block the way. You’d better step aside!" Stacy’s expression was fierce, her eyes flushed red. "As an unchaste widow, it’s not long since her husband died, and she’s already ssing around with n! Are you her watchdog? Looks like you don’t know a thing! As a dog, just guard the door—if you bite, you’ll get slapped!"
Butler Santana had never heard such disrespectful words, her face imdiately turned ugly.
"Our community has always had strict security; I’m not sure how two bitches slipped through." Butler Santana countered, "Looks like it’s ti to call the police."
"You old witch, clearly you’ve lacked a man’s care for years, your face yellow and your mouth venomous. Turns out people do keep dogs like themselves." Stacy’s tone was harsh, and her words exceedingly nasty.
"Butler Santana." Jasmine Yale erged from the bedroom, stepping on the soft carpet, wearing the slippers Sylvan Cheney had given her.
As she ca out, she saw Stacy and Erin Janus standing behind her.
Stacy was dressed in a tight black dress, sexy and tall, her makeup heavy, lipstick a seductive bright red, with round-shaped earrings on her ears.
Behind her was Erin Janus, slightly more subdued, but her attire was also bold.
Both had varying degrees of dark circles under their eyes, clearly just back from the club.
Jasmine Yale walked over, glanced at them, and said lightly, "Why are you making a fuss here instead of resting at ho?"
As she got closer, she caught the scent of alcohol on Stacy and Erin Janus.
It seed that every weekend they went out clubbing all night.
Stacy sized up Jasmine Yale, her disdain growing, then sneered, "You dare co out? I thought you’d always be a coward, leaving your house dog to bark at us."
"Stacy, mind your language, don’t force to curse, I dislike cursing people, it’s bad for prenatal education." Jasmine said calmly, touching her belly.
"Oh, you care about prenatal education? Your so-called prenatal education must an letting different n have you right in front of your child!"
