Unexpectedly, it was a text ssage from Sylvan Cheney.
Just a few simple words, that’s his style—
Sylvan Cheney: Have you had lunch?
Jasmine Yale smiled, and suddenly there was a sweet feeling flowing through her heart, like honey.
She quickly typed a line on her phone in excitent: "I have, have you? What did you eat? Rember to eat more, don’t be picky."
After typing, she felt it wasn’t appropriate.
She deleted it and only replied with one word: Hmm.
Jasmine Yale closed the bedroom door, happily tossed the phone onto the bed, and all she could see with open or closed eyes was Sylvan Cheney’s face.
They had only been apart for half a day, yet she missed him.
On the other end, Sylvan Cheney looked at his phone for a long ti, what does "Hmm" an?
He frowned, she really doesn’t care about him at all.
Wasn’t she saying she wanted to win him over? Is this how she plans to do it?
Sylvan Cheney simply made a phone call.
Jasmine Yale was sitting on the bed, having just made the bed.
She unhurriedly answered the call: "Hello, CEO."
"What’s wrong? Feeling down?"
"No."
"Is it or isn’t it? If you’re feeling down, tell . I’ll take you out for so fresh air after my eting."
"CEO...are you taking out as my boss? That seems a bit overstepping."
"Then how would you like for to take you out? Hmm?"
"CEO, let tell you a story."
"Not listening." Sylvan Cheney frowned, "You always tell all sorts of ssy stories."
"Not listening? If not, I’ll hang up."
"Go ahead!"
Jasmine Yale laughed, leaning against the headboard, laughing particularly happily.
"It’s not really a story, more like what I just saw on the lifestyle channel. There was a girl who liked her senior, but the senior she liked was a jerk. While dating her, he was also seeing another senior girl, so the girl broadcasted asking for help on what to do. CEO, if it were you, what would you do? I think if she knows the senior is a jerk, she should just leave him, right? CEO, what do you think?"
On the other end, there was a few seconds of silence.
Jasmine Yale held the phone in one hand, curling the blanket corner with the other, her eyes sotis on the white wall, sotis on the curtains.
After a while, a deep voice ca through—
"Indeed, jerks really are hateful."
Jasmine Yale chuckled softly, "What about you, CEO? What kind of man are you? I seem... to not know you very well yet."
"I’m better than you think," Sylvan Cheney muttered.
"Really? Then you must be a man with a strong sense of justice."
"Say what you an, no need to beat around the bush with ."
"Then I’ll say it," Jasmine Yale smiled, "Your fiancée brought Miss Stacy to my house today; we had an argunt. I really don’t like arguing with people, especially now that I’m pregnant. After today’s argunt, I feel quite uncomfortable, my stomach hurts a bit, and I have a headache."
"Uncomfortable?"
"Yeah, uncomfortable, but your fiancée should be even more uncomfortable. CEO, maneuvering between two won is a pretty tough thing, and for a woman, it’s sothing that really lacks a sense of security. CEO, there are so things you can think about and consider." Jasmine Yale said softly, "Before you figure it out... let’s not call each other temporarily, after all, CEO Janus said I might get fired, and I want to keep my job."
On the other end, there was silence again.
