Jasmine Yale lazily got out of bed and glanced at her phone; Mr. Cheney’s ntor had called her.
She called him back.
“Jasmine, Little Chale didn’t see you after coming back from school. He cried all night.”
“Did he cry?”
“Yes, he cried very sadly. Butler Santana coaxed him for a long ti, and he only fell asleep when he was tired. But don’t worry, it’s fine, children are like this.”
“I feel quite guilty towards him,” Jasmine Yale said remorsefully.
“Jasmine, don’t burden yourself. Even if you were Little Chale’s biological mother, coming to Lonton while pregnant is already not easy. What’s more, you’re not his mother. You’ve done so much, and I’m really grateful to you. Don’t worry, I’m here, and Little Chale still listens to well.”
“Then I’ll leave Little Chale to you for now. I probably can’t make it to Lonton again until after the baby is born.”
“No problem, I’ll take good care of Little Chale.”
Jasmine Yale chatted with the old man for a while longer, unable to help but sigh.
When she hung up the phone, she quietly looked at the drawings and snacks Chale Cheney had stuffed into her bag. She opened a package of jelly and ate one.

In her mind appeared Little Chale’s smiling face, his beautiful big eyes, pearl-white teeth, and faint dimples that she couldn’t forget.
“Butler Santana, prepare a dish of osmanthus wine in the evening, I’ll take it over to Evan,” Jasmine Yale tied up her hair and walked out of the bedroom.
“Osmanthus wine? Does Evan like this too?” Butler Santana rembered that Mr. Cheney loved it.
“Oh, no, he hasn’t tried it. I want him to have a taste.”
“Alright, I’ll prepare it in the evening. But Miss Yale, are you going to personally deliver it again?” Butler Santana hesitated.
This man, does he take Jasmine Yale for granted? Just like the Second Master, how can he so comfortably let a pregnant woman bring him food?
Jasmine Yale’s belly has gotten so big, it’s not easy for her to move around, and yet he’s being so delicate?
Butler Santana didn’t have a great impression of Evan to begin with, and now it’s even worse.
Seeing Jasmine Yale treating him well made her a bit angry.
Does he think Jasmine Yale won’t leave him? Or that she can’t live without him?
“Yeah, there’s a little gift as well, I’ll just take a walk and deliver them, it’s no big deal.” Jasmine Yale didn’t mind much, just felt that she was being a bit forward—especially since Sylvan Cheney had spoken so harshly, even disrespectfully, and talked about breaking up.
She chuckled awkwardly and shook her head.
“Miss Yale, is this your first ti in a relationship?” Butler Santana asked, “In a relationship, girls shouldn’t be so proactive. You just returned from abroad, logically, you should be exhausted. He should co to you or let you rest properly.”
“I want to surprise him.”
“Well, in love, it’s best for girls to keep a bit of mystery. n tend to have an arrogant and spoiled nature, the more you cling to him, the less he cherishes you.”
“Maybe.” She was starting to get the feeling.
It was just a few photos, yet he caused a fuss about breaking up, making a mountain out of a molehill.
“So, Miss Yale, don’t do it. Mr. Cheney spoils you, not for you to take food to other n like a mother. There are many n in the world; find one who pampers and cares for you.”
