That morning, the sky was overcast with thick clouds, as if it could rain at any mont.
After a simple wash-up, Jasmine Yale wrapped herself in a quilt, occasionally glancing at the horizon outside.
The wind outside was strong, making the windows clatter noisily.
Jasmine Yale lowered her head and quietly opened the book in her hand.
“Miss Yale, still no appetite? You should eat at least a little, not eating is not an option,” Butler Santana ca in, holding fragrant breakfast.
Jasmine Yale nodded.
“I knew Miss Yale is the most obedient, here, have a glass of milk. There are also your favorite sesa pastries and pineapple rolls,” Butler Santana handed the breakfast to Jasmine Yale.
Jasmine obediently took it.
Although she didn’t have much of an appetite, she nibbled at the breakfast bit by bit.
The milk was warm and felt comfortable in her stomach.
“Miss Yale, are you in a bad mood? Did you go out last night?” Butler Santana actually knew Jasmine Yale went out, but didn’t stop her.
“Not in a bad mood.” Jasmine Yale smiled, the corners of her mouth forming two shallow dimples, just as usual.
Butler Santana understood but said nothing more, placing the breakfast down: “Miss Yale, the weather’s not great today, fortunately, you’re on leave and don’t have to work. Is your stomach feeling better? Still uncomfortable?”
“Much better, the little one is behaving.”
“That’s good. I’ll head out first, call after breakfast.”
“Okay.” Jasmine Yale glanced at Butler Santana.
Butler Santana said nothing, but she knew Jasmine Yale must have gone to see that Evan last night.
That man really does have a way of keeping Jasmine Yale utterly captivated.
Jasmine Yale’s mood wasn’t great this morning, definitely because of that Evan.
Butler Santana was truly angry inside, but what could she do?
Jasmine Yale continued her breakfast, drank so milk. Even though she wasn’t hungry, for the sake of the child in her belly, she dutifully finished the breakfast prepared by Butler Santana.
After breakfast, she sat on the bed reading, doing exercises.

Suddenly, her phone rang.
“Assistant Yuvan.” Jasmine Yale answered.
“Jasmine, I saw the lunchbox in the president’s office, thank you for bringing dinner to the president last night.”
“It’s nothing.”
“But… the president only ate half of it and left the rest. When I went over this morning, the president was asleep in his chair, didn’t look well, very haggard, not sure how late he worked last night.”
“Assistant Yuvan, I’m on leave, not really wanting to deal with company matters.”
