Without waiting for her to react, he lifted her up from the sofa.
His embrace was as always, warm, comfortable.
Sylvan Cheney placed Jasmine Yale on his large bed, covering her with his blanket, and touched her forehead with his right hand, whispering, "Sleep, call when you wake up."
