It was just sothing Jasmine Yale said to cheer him up, but he took it seriously and imdiately brightened up.
The atmosphere on the street was still bustling, it was the city center after all, noisy and chaotic.
Inside the car and outside almost seed like two different worlds.
"Jasmine Yale," he called her na again.
"Hmm?" Jasmine looked up at him in the dim light.
"Jasmine Yale."
"..."
"Jasmine."
"..." Jasmine glared at him, "Stop calling my na."
"Then you call my na." Sylvan Cheney smiled at her with pressed lips, evidently quite drunk.
Jasmine didn’t want to respond.
She thought he was talking too much.
"Jasmine Yale."
"Jasmine Yale."
"Stop calling my na!" Jasmine was annoyed.
"I’m afraid that I’ll wake up and not rember you." Sylvan said seriously, "If I call it more, I won’t forget."
His voice was very soft, carrying a bit of hoarseness.
But Jasmine’s heart trembled, for a mont her mind went blank.
He already didn’t rember her.
So what future was there to speak of?
And looking at his current state, it seed he might never rember the past; he had already forgotten her.
Jasmine lowered her head, unsure of what she was feeling.
"Jasmine..." His voice softened, like a spring breeze in March.
He slowly leaned towards Jasmine, leaning closer while calling her na, "Jasmine."
Jasmine moved closer to the car door; when she could move no further, she pushed him away, "Don’t move."
"Let hold you... Jasmine... let hold you..."
"No, you sll like alcohol." Jasmine was naturally repulsed.
"Then you hold ."
"..." What’s the difference?
Jasmine pushed him away, "We’re almost ho; stop talking, calm down, I’m tired."
"Okay." Sylvan obediently replied but didn’t move away from her, still staying very close.
Jasmine had to bear the sll of alcohol on him, frowning tightly.
She really didn’t know how much he had drunk.
After a minute of silence, Sylvan acted restless again, rummaging through her bag, "Water."
"Don’t move, I’ll get it for you."
Jasmine had no choice but to help him drink a few sips of mineral water.
Sylvan saw the pumpkin lantern toy in her bag and snatched it up, "Mine."
"Hey, it’s not yours; that wasn’t bought for you, it’s my baby’s."
"I say it’s mine, so it’s mine."
"..." Jasmine was speechless, having no choice but to let him take it.
"Jasmine Yale, you’re very beautiful."
"Oh, thank you," she replied blandly.
"You’re the most beautiful and captivating woman I’ve ever seen." Sylvan leaned on her shoulder, lifting his eyelids to gaze at her pretty face.
The tiny spots of light fell on her gentle face, like blooming crabapple flowers, beautiful but not gaudy.
Especially her eyes; they were his favorite to look at.
"Enough, you’re drunk. If it were another woman, you’d say the sa thing." Jasmine dismissed him, trying to help him up.
"I’m not lying."
"Got it, you don’t lie."
"Do you like being with ?" Sylvan refused to leave her shoulder, incessantly breathing in her ear, tickling Jasmine.
"Yes, yes," Jasmine replied perfunctorily, thinking how chatty Sylvan was when drunk.
"What kind of liking? What do you like about ?"
"Alright, stop it, I’m tired."
