"This probably... is like when you were in school, lots of things you felt embarrassed to do yourself, like sending a love letter, you’d ask classmates for help. I think it’s the sa principle," said Kade.
Jasmine Yale laughed, "You’re not soone who’s never been in a relationship, you have quite a bit of experience."
"Because I was the one who often helped people deliver love letters."
When he said that, Jasmine Yale laughed even harder.
"Since he’s being genuinely nice, you should just accept it. If you ask , it doesn’t hurt to take it," Kade added, "I went shopping with him, he went to all the boutique stores, it wasn’t cheap."
"Children’s clothes don’t need to be too good, kids grow up so fast."
"I said the sa thing, but soone said money’s not an issue. You know, those words really sting," Kade covered his face, feeling pained.
Jasmine Yale didn’t say much more.
Soon, the waiter ca in with the dishes.
Kade ordered quite a few dishes; they looked appetizing and slled fantastic, filling the entire private room with fragrance.
Kade wasn’t the silent type; he and Jasmine Yale got along pretty well.
Sitting opposite Jasmine Yale, Kade also shared quite a lot of fun stories from his school days, and of course, the current situation at the company.
"Jasmine, since you resigned, so people’s state isn’t very good, they get distracted in etings," Kade asked calmly, "They even occasionally ss up numbers and English; it doesn’t fit his usual style. He’s always been ticulous."
"Isn’t it because work is too tiring? The entire company’s top levels are relying on him. Those directors and deputy CEOs Erin Janus hired before, how many are competent? He wants to promote his own people, but I’m afraid he’ll need Erin Janus’s agreent."
"You’re very perceptive, but there are also personal reasons; he’s not sleeping well."
Jasmine Yale stayed silent.
"Lately, I’ve been ordering food for him and bringing als, and he doesn’t eat much. Sotis when I co around, the al is untouched, the bag isn’t even opened," Kade lanted, "He went to Old York for a business trip this afternoon; it might be a few days before he returns."
"Do you sympathize with him? I don’t," Jasmine Yale said lightly.
She’s reminded him countless tis, but he acted like he didn’t hear.
What else can she do?
"Jasmine, don’t say that; when one’s mood is bad, the appetite isn’t good. If you have ti, you should persuade him; his mood will improve greatly."
Jasmine Yale chuckled, "In what capacity?"
Kade paused for a second and then replied, "He cares about you, he just hasn’t said it publicly."
"But he’s public with Erin Janus," Jasmine Yale replied lightly, "I’m not jealous; I just purely dislike this tangled feeling, and I don’t like others seeing as a third wheel."
"Jasmine, don’t worry too much about what others think. What is yours will be yours; at least our friends won’t misunderstand you."
"No one is indifferent."
Jasmine Yale lowered her head, picked up a piece of sweet and sour pork, and ate quietly.
Her heart didn’t have great fluctuations, seeming even calm.
In this city, she doesn’t even have a single friend left anymore; maybe there won’t be anyone considering her perspective ever again.
Kade also paused in silence, his eyes showing an indescribable glimr.
"Jasmine, I spend every day with him; many things I see more clearly than you. He truly likes you," Kade said, "As for CEO Janus... his gaze towards CEO Janus lacks any love."
