"What are you waiting for?" Jasmine Yale tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear and gazed at him with bright eyes. "I already have a child, I’m okay with it. But you? You’re not getting any younger, can’t keep waiting forever."
"..." Sylvan Cheney’s smile froze for a mont. "You’re right, I have nothing at all."

"Yes, I do have to pursue you, any objections?" Sylvan Cheney interrupted her, dissatisfied.
"No objections."
"I haven’t had ti to pack my suitcase yet, can you help with that?" Sylvan Cheney asked. "I saw you bought so groceries, perfect timing, I can cook for you."
"I didn’t agree to be your girlfriend."
"I can be really good to you, trust ."
"Really?" Jasmine Yale looked at him, and for so reason, her eyes felt a bit moist, maybe it was the wind.

Jasmine Yale placed the bracelet on her left wrist, perfectly covering the faint scar.
The sunlight shone on the bracelet, shimring golden and exceptionally delicate.
