She entered a few numbers, but none were correct, so she gave up.
She leaned comfortably against the pillow, working on the project proposal while sipping plain water.
Soon, Sylvan Cheney made her a glass of fresh orange juice.
He placed the orange juice on the table, moved to her side, and looked down at the laptop screen, "What are you looking at?"
"Your research paper."
"There’s also a data report. I’ll call it up for you to check," Sylvan Cheney moved around on the touchpad and pulled up a spreadsheet, "You’ll need to look at it together, it’s a bit difficult. If you don’t understand, ask ."
Sylvan Cheney had the sleeves of his sweater rolled up to his elbows, carrying a fragrance of cologne mixed with fruit.
As he approached Jasmine Yale, she sensed a strong hormonal aura.
This man, he’s naturally charming.
"Did you hear what I said?" Sylvan Cheney couldn’t help but frown.
"Ah, oh, I heard, if I don’t understand sothing, I’ll ask you."
"Okay, so is there anything you don’t understand now?"
"I understand why you’re so attractive to won."
"What are you talking about?" Sylvan Cheney glanced at her, "If you’re not focused on work, stand up and take a walk. You can’t work well in this state!"
"Always scolding."
"This isn’t scolding, it’s a matter of work attitude. I’m seriously discussing work with you, and you’re distracted. How will I dare to let you handle tasks in the future?" Sylvan Cheney looked at her, "You may be casual with , but eventually you’ll need to return to the company and face other bosses!"
"That’s not right what you said."
"How is it not right?" Sylvan Cheney was sowhat irritated by her but couldn’t lose his temper.
"Why would I encounter other bosses, can’t you keep being my boss?"
"You shouldn’t forget you’ve already resigned!"
"Then you leave Jas."
"..."
"Besides, why do I have to return to the company? If you’re capable, give money to open a shop or support ," Jasmine Yale reached out, intentionally.
Sylvan Cheney grabbed her hand and bit her finger, "Fine, got it. I’ll make sure you’re well kept."
Jasmine Yale’s fingers felt tingly.
Fingers are linked to the heart, making her heart beat faster, and the blood in her body rushed.
She quickly withdrew her finger, her ears were still reddened.
To her, Sylvan Cheney was no longer a stranger, but for so reason, facing him after the mory loss and the changes, she always felt as if she was walking a different path with him.
The current him had no worries, no concerns, and no lingering grudges or hatred to carry, he was just him, a real Sylvan Cheney she had never seen before.
