Recently, Butler Santana has found a job nearby where he helps manage a shop. He’s busy there, but when free, he stays at ho doing chores, which keeps him fulfilled.

She was very happy to see Jasmine Yale’s baby.

"Miss Yale, how has Mr. Cheney been treating you lately?"

"He’s been really good to . He’s more considerate than before, and his temper has improved a lot."

"Mr. Cheney was always served by others growing up; I haven’t seen him take care of anyone else till now."

"His cooking is delicious. I’m really lucky to have such a blessing," Jasmine Yale said with a smile. "He’s much more approachable now; he used to be indifferent to people, but not anymore. He listens carefully to whatever I say."

"Miss Yale, co upstairs. I live alone now. Maybe I should bring Sweet Kitty back for you soday?"

"Sweet Kitty..." Jasmine Yale thought for a mont. "Let Aunt Camden take care of it for now. It’s still in Old York, and Yukon says it’s been playing well with a male kitten recently."

"I see, it’s good that it’s with Mr. Carbon too. Has Mr. Carbon recovered?"

"He’s still in the hospital; probably needs so ti to recuperate, but it’s not serious."

Jasmine Yale chatted with Butler Santana while heading upstairs.

The house was still the sa, kept very clean by Butler Santana.

Butler Santana had knitted several small sweaters for the baby in various colors.

"With spare ti on my hands, I knitted a few more. The baby is due in winter," said Butler Santana.

"The clothes are so cute, truly adorable!" Jasmine Yale couldn’t put them down.

Each piece was a different color, and cute designs were knitted into the clothes.

Jasmine Yale felt the baby in her belly was so lucky, being cared for and loved by so many people—far better than her previous child.

Looking at these lovely clothes, Jasmine Yale couldn’t wait to dress the baby in them.

"Miss Yale, shall we have Mr. Cheney co for dinner tonight? It’s been days since I last saw him; I’d like to see him."

"Sure, I’ll send him a ssage later," Jasmine Yale said with a smile. "He’s been doing well lately. He used to drink and smoke a lot due to social commitnts. He’s declined many of them recently; I don’t let him drink anymore."

"Mr. Cheney has a sensitive stomach and shouldn’t drink too much. He drank too much during that period in Landon and got sick from it. Back then, Miss Yale, you were in Cakago..."

"Yes," Jasmine Yale reminisced.

It feels like ages ago.

Landon, to her, feels more like a distant symbol.

She wonders if, as ti goes on, Landon will slowly fade from her mory...

She doesn’t want to forget.

The days in Landon before she turned twenty were the most treasured jewels of her life; that’s when she was young and carefree, able to find joy or sadness in trivial things.

Pure and uncomplicated, without worries.

Sylvan Cheney has already forgotten it all, leaving her to carefully cherish them.

Like old photographs, the more they’re preserved, the more precious they beco.

At noon, Butler Santana was in the kitchen cooking, and Jasmine Yale took the ti to call Sylvan Cheney.

They chatted endlessly for quite a while. Sylvan Cheney shared amusing stories from work, keeping Jasmine laughing non-stop on the balcony.

Sunlight filled the room, casting a golden glow on her clothes and face, with shadows softly dancing on her eyelids.

She squinted towards the window, unwilling to part from her phone as she chatted with Sylvan Cheney.

Ti stretches long and serene; all is peaceful and good.
