She wrapped a bright red scarf around herself and brought a gray one for Sylvan Cheney.
This weather, it gets cold all of a sudden.
Many places in Chinatown aren’t accessible by car, so Sylvan parked at a nearby parking lot.
"Haven’t gone out all day? You should get out more." Sylvan held her hand and noticed her palm was quite cold.
"Staying ho is really boring, it’s better when I’m at work. At least there are lots of things to do when I’m busy at the company, keeping on my toes."
"After you have the baby, I’ll help you arrange a job."
"I, a scholarship-winning student with hands and feet, don’t need you to arrange a job for ." Jasmine Yale snorted.
"I’m not worried that you won’t find a suitable job yourself; I happen to know a few partners whose companies are hiring. I can put in a word so you can get in directly."
"I won’t."
Sylvan smiled and pinched her little hand.
He knew she wouldn’t be willing.
Chinatown was bustling in the evening, full of people, decorated with lanterns, like it was dayti.
Jasmine Yale and Sylvan Cheney walked hand in hand along the street, heading to a hot pot restaurant.
She wasn’t hungry nor in a rush to eat, but whenever she saw an interesting store, she’d pull Sylvan in to check it out.
Sylvan had been in Cakago for more than half a year, yet it was his first ti visiting a place like Chinatown.
In a black long coat, he stood out in the crowd, attracting a lot of attention, especially with a pregnant woman by his side; their turn-back rate was quite high.
In the eyes of others, they appeared to be a loving couple.
Jasmine bought a serving of Oden.
Eating a warm serving of Oden in winter is quite comforting to the chilled body.
She casually picked up a skewer and raised her hand: "Let feed you one."
Under the bright red scarf, Jasmine’s face was extra charming, the lighting soft, the background bustling.
Sylvan turned his head, wrinkled his brows disdainfully, but couldn’t resist as she kept her hand raised, so he lowered his head and took a bite.
"I know you don’t like these, or rather, you don’t dislike them; it’s just that you’ve never tried them. Actually, it tastes fine; it’s warm and cozy. You haven’t tried it, so you dismiss it."
"Childish food." Sylvan scoffed.
Jasmine insisted, feeding him two more bites.
The warmth spread around her hand, and Jasmine felt warm all over.
She liked to walk and pause, sotis deliberately walking behind Sylvan.
She liked watching his back, how he walked; as long as it’s him, she liked it.
Sylvan found her increasingly childish.
When working, he never noticed this childish side of her.
Jasmine felt that ordinary people have their advantages too. At least when Sylvan walked down the street, he didn’t need a bodyguard, nor would anyone secretly take photos.
And before, that was rare.
The hot pot restaurant was particularly crowded, business was exceptionally good.
Sylvan booked a private room on the second floor, from the window seat, you could see the lively scene of the entire Chinatown.
Before being with Jasmine, Sylvan didn’t enjoy the bustling common life, but now he felt it was quite nice, quite interesting.
On the streets, there were couples coming and going, Jasmine pulled him to the window, watching downstairs: "Young guys in their teens are the most romantic; they know how to take photos, create a ruckus, and make their girlfriends happy."
Sylvan: "..."
"People say love in your teens is the purest, President, what do you think?"
