Chapter 535: There’s a kind of warmth called ‘relying on each other for survival
“Sylvan Cheney, as long as you ask, I can give you anything, you saved my life…” Jasmine Yale whimpered, lying in his arms.
With her eyes closed, she had lost all her sleepiness.

“Jasy.” His eyes were tinged with indifference, “Do you know that there is a kind of warmth called ‘relying on each other for life’?”

Sylvan Cheney didn’t respond.
“You won’t understand how I feel. For you, it was just an accident from a one-night stand. But for , it was everything.” Jasmine Yale spoke faintly, “I wonder, do you look down on in your heart for being so proactive in getting into your bed? I kind of look down on myself too.”
She was speaking softly, her voice was very quiet.
Just like she was talking to herself.
“Jasmine Yale, on that night, it was only you who were drunk, I was not.” Displeasure was in Sylvan Cheney’s voice.
“What?” Jasmine Yale didn’t understand.
“No one can force to do sothing I don’t want to do, understand?”
Jasmine Yale clutched his pajama collar, silent.
“Mr. Cheney, what do you think your fiancée would think if she knew we were lying in bed together right now?” Jasmine Yale smiled bitterly.
She didn’t want to be the other woman either.
Being the other woman, she would be condemned.
“These are not the things you should be thinking about. What you should be doing is working hard and living a good life, okay?”
He would take care of the rest.
“There are English books and vocabulary books on the table. So, are you planning to study hard now?” Sylvan Cheney smirked.
She never liked studying, although she was smart, she was not hardworking.
Her grades were just average, neither outstanding nor falling behind.
“Yeah.”
Jasmine Yale did not plan to tell him about her thoughts.
If she told him she wanted to apply for graduate school or study abroad, he would laugh at her.
If he wasn’t going to confide in her, then she wouldn’t confide in him either in the future.
She was tired of him.
