Only Joe Heath ever professed his love to her, cheered her up with a pile of cheesy words.
“It’s okay, you’ll definitely et a boyfriend who will comfort you and say sweet things to you!” Xara laughed, “Being in love is really sweet! Right, let show you a photo of my boyfriend!”
Xara flipped out a photo from her phone.
They were all various photos of her and her boyfriend—
Photos taken in the swimming pool, photos taken at amusent parks, there were even so selfies with just the two of them…
Xara looked really happy, and her boyfriend seed to really spoil her.

“Ah, don’t look at this.” Xara blushed and skipped over it when she ca upon their kissing photos.
But Jasmine still saw it.
She took a bite of the ribs and chuckled, “Ah, what’s wrong with that? Let see.”
“No, no.” Xara refused, her face reddening.
Jasmine saw those pictures of Xara, she looked really happy and sweet on them, her face radiating pure joy.
Is this what being in love feels like? She didn’t know…
“Jasmine, let tell you, being in love is like eating candy, mostly sweet, sotis sour, but the aftertaste still sweet. You have to go find a boyfriend! Once you have one, we can go out together.”
Jasmine smiled.
A boyfriend?
She was just in her twenties, fresh out of school, she really wanted to experience love…
“Jasmine, what’s your type? I can keep an eye out for you. My boyfriend is a grad student, there are so many guys in his school who are around your age.” Xara exclaid blinking her eyes.
Jasmine slightly shook her head: “No need, I don’t want to be in a relationship for now.”
She didn’t dare to say that she was going abroad, that Respected Majesty only belonged to Sylvan Cheney.
She wasn’t ready for him to know this yet.
But she was really curious about the feeling of being in love…
It must be sweet and blissful, right? Every day full of happiness?
Would he buy her ice cream and cotton candy? Accompany her on the rry-go-round? Or would he co to pick her up every day when she goes off to work?
Or maybe he would take her to see the sunrise, sunset?
She liked those feelings so much.
After so thought, she beca even more yearning.
She was still so young…
“Why don’t you want to be in love? It’s so wonderful.” Xara didn’t quite understand. “Is it because you want to sit for the graduate student entrance exam?”
“Yes.” Jasmine nodded, “I’ll just wait until I get into university to start dating.”
“That’s good thinking, sounds promising.” Xara laughed, “Lots of cute guys in university. Jasmine, you’re so pretty, you must find a handso one! And you absolutely have to show him to ! No, not just a photo, the real thing!”
“Sure, I won’t forget about you.”
Jasmine was enjoying Xara’s pork in spicy sauce and all of a sudden, her mood lifted.
She also wanted to be an ordinary girl, have a normal life, and have a close companion.
If she could…maybe have a baby, since she likes little babies.
But she and Sylvan Cheney, they simply aren’t a good match.
He was held high in awe…chasing him for twelve years, it used up all the energy she had in her life.
She just wanted to love and be loved, simply, sweetly, sothing Sylvan Cheney couldn’t give her.
He said he was pursuing her, but it felt more like forcing her to give in.
His personality dictated that he wouldn’t pursue anyone.
And she, after a twelve-year chase, where did she find the energy to run after him again.
When she was tired, she’d find herself envying the girls being held by their boyfriends on the streets.
However, if she stopped her pursuit to take envy, the one she was chasing would get further away.
