Chapter 872: Chapter 872: Are You Doing This on Purpose?
Jasmine Yale cried until her eyes turned bright red, and her eyelids swelled up.
She could not suppress the emotions inside her, which burst forth bit by bit, transforming into tears that slowly stread down.
When Sylvan Cheney rushed back, Jasmine Yale was still crying.
But by then, she had cried herself out of strength, sitting on the edge of the bed, her gaze blankly fixed ahead.
In her hands, she held Chale Cheney’s little tiger.
Sylvan Cheney stood at the doorway, comprehending the situation upon seeing Jasmine’s state.
His stern face grew uneasy, a storm brewing in his eyes.
His tall figure stood at the doorway, still enveloped in a chilly, bleak coldness.
Upon seeing Sylvan Cheney, Butler Santana imdiately ran over, “Mr. Cheney, you’re finally back. Miss Yale… I, I told her Young Master went to Lonton… Miss Yale is very upset. I’m sorry…”
“It’s not your fault, you can go now,” Sylvan said gravely.
“Yes,” Butler Santana hurried out.
Sylvan Cheney closed the bedroom door and walked over to Jasmine Yale.
Jasmine had cried herself out, her eyes bright red and lined with blood vessels.
Her shoulders still twitching, she sobbed softly.
It was as if she didn’t see Sylvan Cheney enter; her gaze remained lifeless.
Her usually sparkling eyes seed now like a stagnant pool of water.
“Jasy,” Sylvan Cheney called her na, “stop crying.”
He extended his thumb to wipe the tears from the corner of her eyes.
“Chale was sent back to Lonton by . If you want to see him, I’ll take you to Lonton later. But for the short term, you might not be able to see him,” Sylvan explained calmly.
Jasmine Yale lifted her eyes, finally hearing his voice.
She looked at him coldly, her gaze sharp and icy.
“Sylvan Cheney, when did you send him away? Why did you send him away?” she demanded.
“He left this morning. As for why, I have my reasons,” Sylvan replied indifferently, not wishing to explain further.
“Did you do it on purpose… while I was delirious with fever, you sent Little Chale away, so when I woke up, he would be gone…” Jasmine looked at Sylvan coldly, hostility gleaming in her eyes.
Sylvan Cheney, looking down from his height at her sitting on the bed, remained silent.
“Why won’t you answer , are you guilty? Do you know I wanted to see him, I wanted to know if his wound had healed, if he was scared, and, I promised him I would go to kindergarten next week to join him for an activity, I already promised him, how could you send him away…”
Jasmine Yale’s voice was hoarse, and as she grew agitated, the tears she had held back surged forth like a flood.
Sylvan Cheney couldn’t stand to see her cry; her tears left him feeling helpless and frustrated.
He crouched down, pulled out a tissue, and wiped her tears, “Stop crying.”
“How could you send him away…” Jasmine held the little tiger, crying disconsolately.
This sending away might an she would never see the little guy again for the rest of her life.
Even if she did see him, he would no longer recognize her, no longer be so close.
“His wound has healed, there’s nothing wrong, and he is protected in Lonton,” Sylvan said.
Jasmine slapped away his hand, lifting her teary eyes to look at him coldly, “What about you? Are you going too?”
“No.”
“Hmph.” Jasmine Yale scoffed through her sobs, “He’s only three years old. How can you rest easy leaving a three-year-old alone in Lonton? Is he still your biological son? He’s still so young, he understands nothing.”
