Chapter 934: Chapter 934: Why Treat a Child Like This? Chapter 934: Chapter 934: Why Treat a Child Like This? Moonlight was soft, a solitary figure in its glow.
The road was long, yet walking along like this, it wasn’t so boring or lonely.
The quiet villa area was particularly peaceful, devoid of human voices.
When the wind blew, the branches swished and swayed.
“Ao ao.”
Suddenly, Jasmine Yale felt a dog following her!
She turned around in surprise, ah, it was Riceball!
Though Riceball appeared clumsy, Jasmine always thought it was exceptionally smart, almost human-like.
She hadn’t expected it to run out.
She still rembered the first ti she t Riceball at the Cheney Residence, the silly dog had clung to her skirt and refused to let go.
Jasmine stopped walking and waited for Riceball.
The big fellow strutted towards Jasmine, visibly excited.
“Ao ao!” It barked while running.
Jasmine squatted down, opening her arms to welco the charging Riceball!
“Riceball, Riceball, co here!”
After a dozen seconds, the big fellow plunged into Jasmine’s arms, pressing against her arm, extending its tongue to lick the back of her hand.
“Good boy, such a good boy. I haven’t seen you in a long ti. Let see if you have gained weight.”
Jasmine caressed its head, scrutinizing it under the streetlight.
“Hmm… still the sa, chubby as ever.” Jasmine smiled, “Do you miss ? I miss you quite a bit. Have you been getting along with Ali? Do you miss your little master, Little Chale?”
Riceball licked the back of Jasmine’s hands, wagging its tail.
The light shone on Riceball, showing less of its usual imposing air and more a sense of reluctance to part.
It was reluctant to leave Jasmine, constantly burrowing into her embrace.
Jasmine’s throat tightened, a sour feeling spreading throughout her body.
Tears shimred in her eyes.
Riceball panted as it played around Jasmine, and she held it for a long ti.
“You must miss Little Chale too, don’t you? I miss him too…” Jasmine squatted on the ground, stroking its head, “Riceball, be good…”
It was as if Riceball understood the words “Little Chale.” It started barking anxiously, pacing around Jasmine.
“Riceball, eat well, don’t be picky, keep yourself chubby. Little Chale will co back. He won’t forget you, he will bring you along,” Jasmine said.
Although she didn’t know herself whether Chale Cheney would co back to Landon, she believed he would definitely miss Riceball and take it with him.
But she didn’t know when that would be.
Chale Cheney had been sent to Lonton three months ago.
She wondered what the little one looked like now…
How could there be such a heartless father in the world, forcing an innocent and adorable baby to beco like him.
What was so good about himself; cold-blooded, unfeeling, taciturn.
Why turn Little Chale into that…
Now the little fellow was carefree, happily waiting to attend activities at his kindergarten.
He studied diligently and got along well with his classmates.
Why treat a child like that…
Sylvan Cheney… he was heartless.
Riceball walked around Jasmine’s feet, resting its head in her arms, clearly reluctant to part.
The scent of Jasmine was too familiar to it, so familiar that it wouldn’t let Jasmine leave.
“Riceball, be good, I’ll co to see you again,” Jasmine forced a smile, comforting it.
Riceball clung to her sleeve, refusing to let her go.
Its big eyes looked at her pitifully, brimming with tears.
