Qi Ruigang also wanted to follow, but Awei reached out to stop him: "Mr. Qi, you can’t go."

"Why?" Qi Ruigang asked coldly.

Awei said bluntly, "No one can guarantee you won’t contact your people. For safety’s sake, you can’t leave my sight."

Qi Ruigang curled his lips into a mocking smile. "So this is your so-called cooperation, with absolutely no sincerity!"

"If Mr. Qi were sincere, we would eventually be moved by you."

Qi Ruigang was so angry that he couldn’t speak.

A tiger falling to a flat plain would be bullied by dogs. He deeply understood this truth in recent tis.

...

Mo Lan and the others returned with many boxed als, one for each bodyguard.

She specially bought porridge for Jian Yufei and Ansel. It’s hard to buy porridge in D Country.

Luckily, a KFC had it...

"Yufei, I bought porridge. You should eat sothing first." Mo Lan placed the porridge on the bedside table and said to her softly.

Jian Yufei smiled and said, "Thank you, but I’m not hungry right now."

"Even if you’re not hungry, you should eat a little. Your health isn’t great to begin with. If you also fall ill, who’s going to take care of Junchen?"

Jian Yufei’s eyes flickered, but she really couldn’t eat anything.

Ruan Tianling directly took the porridge, helped her up, and led her to the sofa nearby to sit down.

Opening the lid, he scooped up a spoonful and brought it to her lips.

"I’ll feed you."

Ruan Tianling’s tone was firm, leaving her no choice but to comply.

Jian Yufei reached out her hand. "Let do it."

Ruan Tianling avoided her hand. "I’ll feed you."

He was insistent.

Jian Yufei felt a little embarrassed. Mo Lan was still here, yet he was being so affectionate.

Mo Lan smirked and said, "Take your ti eating. I’ll take a walk outside."

The door closed, leaving only the three of them in the VIP hospital room.

Only then did Jian Yufei open her mouth and take a bite of the porridge Ruan Tianling fed her. It wasn’t much, just one bowl, but even so, she couldn’t finish it.

After a few bites, she felt full.

"You should eat your al. I can’t eat anymore."

"No, finish the rest. If you don’t finish it, I won’t eat either," Ruan Tianling said stubbornly.

Jian Yufei had no way to deal with his persistence. "Fine, I’ll do it myself."

This ti, Ruan Tianling did not argue. Jian Yufei took the spoon and quickly finished the porridge.

Ruan Tianling smiled with satisfaction and then started eating his boxed al.

Jian Yufei poured two glasses of water and handed one to him.

"Do you think Ansel will keep sleeping like this?" she asked worriedly.

Ruan Tianling glanced at their son on the hospital bed, a flicker of worry in his eyes as well.

"He shouldn’t..."

"Maybe. Hurry up and eat, or it’ll get cold." She stopped pressing the topic, worried that too much talking would affect his appetite.

They stayed in the hospital for a long ti.

It wasn’t until evening that Ansel finally woke up.

Jian Yufei had been keeping a vigil by the bedside, eventually falling asleep leaning against the bed.

"Mommy..."

In a daze, she seed to hear Ansel calling her.

Jian Yufei jolted awake. Lifting her head, she was t with Ansel’s clear, bright eyes.

"Ansel, you’re awake!" She leaned down and hugged him joyfully, almost crying from excitent.

She kissed his cheeks warmly, stroking his face as she asked lovingly, "Ansel, do you feel any discomfort anywhere?"

Ansel shook his head. "I’m fine. Mommy, am I really not dead?"

"Silly boy, don’t ever say such foolish things again. The doctor said you’re just sick, and you’ll be fine after so ti."

"What kind of sickness?" Ansel wasn’t a fool; he asked curiously.
