Jian Yufei lay awake with her eyes open until it got very dark before Ruan Tianling returned.
The light in the ward was dim, Ruan Tianling’s face hidden in shadow, so she couldn’t see his face clearly.
He slowly walked to her side, sat down, and said with pursed lips, "Alright, I promise you, I’ll let them go."
