The maids all shivered collectively, each showing a look of terror on their faces.
But they didn’t dare delay and hurried inside.
"Quick, pull him away!" Laffey’s face was deathly pale with fright, and her whole body was trembling.
She never would have thought that upon waking up, she would be sleeping with a dead body, naked, and even embracing it.
Laffey felt she was having a nightmare!

Jian Yufei and Mi Sha were in their room praying devoutly.
Laffey angrily pushed the door open and saw the two of them with hands clasped, mysteriously praying toward the window.

"Shhh." Mi Sha turned her head, gesturing for her to keep her voice down, "We’re praying to the ghosts and gods."
"Ghosts and gods?!" Laffey’s face turned sowhat sour.
Mi Sha nodded, "Don’t you know, when a person is murdered, their ghost lingers around their enemy, looking for a chance for revenge. Last night..."
At this point, Mi Sha shivered, looking very terrified.
Laffey was sowhat scared too.
Only last night she’d slept with a corpse. Honestly, right now, she feared ghosts and the like the most.
"What happened last night?!" she asked, striving to remain calm.
Mi Sha replied, "Last night, we suddenly and inexplicably fell asleep. What Mi Sha said was sowhat absurd but she spoke with utter seriousness.
A thought flashed through Laffey’s mind.
Could it really be the work of a ghost?
Did they kill the person and bring them to her room?
Impossible, how could there be such absurd happenings?
Besides, last night her people confird that Jian Yufei and the others had been drugged with an Aphrodisiac and were unconscious.
Moreover, this is the Palace, heavily guarded, and they wouldn’t have the ans to bring soone to her room.
Then who did it?
No matter how she thought about it, Laffey couldn’t figure it out.
She looked towards Jian Yufei, only to realize that her complexion was terrible, her eyes empty, as if she had lost her soul.
"What happened to her?" she asked Mi Sha.
Mi Sha imdiately burst into anger and hatred: "You have the audacity to ask! What did you do to us last night, and what did you do to her?"
