When Ruan Tianling ca ho in the evening, Jian Yufei wasn’t in the living room.
The servant ca forward to greet him.
He thought for a mont and asked, "What has Jian Yufei been up to today?"
The servant respectfully replied, "Mrs. Ruan didn’t do anything today; she watched TV all day."
"All day?"
"Yes, she wanted to go into the kitchen, but we firmly didn’t let her in."
Ruan Tianling nodded and headed upstairs.
Jian Yufei was organizing files for him in Ruan Tianling’s study.
Usually, Ruan Tianling wouldn’t let anyone touch his things, as there were important docunts inside.

The study door was left open, and light spilled out from it.
Ruan Tianling pushed open the door and saw Jian Yufei facing away from him, browsing through items on the bookshelf.
He approached and saw that she had an economics book in her hand.

Ruan Tianling raised his arm to embrace her waist from behind.
Jian Yufei was startled, but realizing it was him, she turned around with a smile, "Just got back?"
"Yeah. Are you interested in economics?"
"Not really, but once I started reading, I found it quite engaging."
"If you like reading, I’ll have more books sent in tomorrow."
Jian Yufei put the book back on the shelf, turned around, and hooked her arm through his, "Have you had dinner?"
Ruan Tianling smiled, "I didn’t eat much today, I’m a bit hungry. How about you cook so noodles?"
"Sure!" Jian Yufei agreed happily.
They went downstairs together.
Jian Yufei went into the kitchen to make noodles, while Ruan Tianling helped by washing vegetables and chopping scallions.
Soon, a fragrant bowl of noodles was ready.
The broth was made from bones, seasoned with so scallions, and accompanied by a few vegetables, making it look quite appetizing.
There weren’t too many noodles, as too much would make them mushy and not tasty.
Ruan Tianling finished the noodles in a few bites and drank more than half of the soup.
Jian Yufei watched him eat and even peeled an apple for him.
"What do you want to eat tomorrow? I’ll have soone make it," Jian Yufei asked, not saying she’d make it herself.
