Jian Yufei slowly walked closer to him. Ruan Tianling strode forward to try and stop her, but then held himself back.
Xiao Zexin stared at Jian Yufei, his eyes flickering with unclear emotions.
Seeing he wasn’t rejecting, Jian Yufei felt a surge of happiness.
"Dad..." She quickened her pace.
Just as she was about to get close, Xiao Zexin suddenly pushed her away and grabbed the water cup from the headboard, hurling it to the ground forcefully!

Glass shards scattered everywhere.
Ruan Tianling imdiately hugged Jian Yufei, shielding her behind him.
Xiao Zexin grabbed the largest shard from the ground, and Ruan Tianling thought he was going to harm them.
