Throughout the day, I was occupied with feeding and tending to the horses, it was extrely stressful but I was more than happy that Conner was nowhere around to touch .
Other slaves avoided for reasons best known to them. I ignored them too, smiling as I spoke to the horses.
They were the only people I was allowed to speak with in this pack.
"Things can be extrely tiring. I want death so badly, goddess knew I’d be happy to get trampled upon by you guys." I whispered as I brushed their manes.
It was shiny and silky to touch, I was almost envious of their lives. These horses have received far better treatnts than I have in my entire life.
"What can I do to make you kick ? Do I have to cut you? Hurt you? Can’t you trample on for being in your space or for talking too much? Can’t you just do sothing please?" I whispered as I moved to the next horse.
I pushed my hand forward, trying to pat its head and to my shock, he crouched lower to my level, making smile softly.
"You can crouch but not trample , that’s sad but sweet..." I mumbled and I turned around when I heard loud neighs and groans from the opposite stall.
I covered my mouth with shock when my eyes darted to a boy who was on the floor, groaning as he rose slowly.
His back was bruised and I turned to my horse, grateful that they weren’t harsh to .
"Maybe being trampled upon is a terrible idea." I whispered as I moved to the next horse.
I panted heavily as I dropped the brush, more than happy to let my aching fists rest. I ate my al hastily, gulping down everything like a ravenous wolf and when I was done, I headed towards my room.
There was complete darkness and according to what I’ve heard, the Alphas loved the darkness.
I stuck to the wall, scared that I’d get noticed by any of the slave masters. I was almost inside the house through the passage when soone touched my shoulder.
I jumped in fright, ready to bolt into the house while my heart began pounding heavily.
"Shhh, I won’t hurt you, co with . I was ordered to get you out of the pack. I’ll help you get to the borders." It was a female wolf and my eyes almost popped out in shock.
I shook my head at first, my fears rising rapidly, this could be a scam, this could end terribly but at the sa ti this was my only chance to freedom?
"What if I don’t make it out? "I... I... I can’t..." I stuttered, shaking my head vigorously.
"Co with ! I’m trying to help you!" She whispered harshly as she grabbed my hand, pulling away.
My body began to shake with fear, the thought of people’s necks being slashed flashed in my head and I tried to stop but her grip on my hand tightened.
"Consider yourself dead if we get discovered." She snarled as she began running off into the forest while I followed, too numb to understand what was going on but terrified at the thought of being caught.
We ran for almost thirty minutes, stopping when we reached the end of the forest. "Do not shift into your wolf form, you’ll get caught. You have a masked scent that’s seeping out, it’s strange and it’ll make you get caught..." She was still speaking when my eyes widened.
I was horrified to find a dark large wolf standing behind her. Only the goddess knew how he followed us without a word but my hands began to tremble and she frowned.
"He... The..." I was having a panic attack as I stuttered, my chest was tight and my lungs were swiftly closing up.
"Argh!" She scread as she turned around, falling to the ground while I stood rooted to the spot, shaking like a leaf as sweat tricked down my body in the cold night.
A car drove by as two guards stepped down, it was Asher and another guard. They threw us into the car roughly and while the other girl wept profusely, tears didn’t leave my eyes, it felt like my teary gland had dried up.
I was exhausted. Arriving at the pack, the air was even thicker with gloom this ti around and alighting from the car, we were dragged roughly into the pack house where Alpha Thor and Ryker were waiting.
"Why?" One of them snarled while the maid at the side trembled with fear.
"She... She made do it, Alpha... She convinced to run away." She lied, leaving too stunned to speak.
"Take her away, behead her for lying to my face but before that, allow the guards to feast on her." He ordered and my heart dropped with fear.
"Please! Alpha... I’m sorry for lying! It was Alpha Dylan! He swore to destroy my family... Please!" My heart was about to explode from fear when the alpha stopped in front of .
"Take her to the den, have every guard lined up to have a taste of her, dead or alive." He ordered and before I could react to what had been said, two guards grabbed , leading out roughly.
"No... No... Where am I being taken to... Please... Please don’t!" I scread at the top of my voice as they pulled away.
