Zeng Keren’s cheeks were flushed red with exasperation. She liked, adored and admired Qin Jingzhi, and even went into this profession solely because of him. She firmly believed that she could play a starring role alongside Qin Jingzhi—the lead actor—based on her beauty, family background and an abundance of resources. Yan Qingsi tagged Qin Jingshi’s Weibo and replied, “Perhaps I was banished by the monarch to the palace of exile for far too long!”
Yue Tingfeng snorted and thought to himself sarcastically. “Emperor and concubine… How affectionate.”
After arriving at the Yue family’s estate, Yue Tingfeng asked Yan Qingsi to enter the house first before speaking to Lil Xu and Ji Mianmian, who was going to return to their homes. “Both of you can kiss goodbye to this month’s bonuses.”
