When Zhao Youxi’s thoughts were exposed, her face turned pale, and she felt irritated as she bit her bottom lip. She pushed away the bodyguards in black suits, who had rushed over to help her, and staggered while she got up. “Don’t think that I’ll let this go. I won’t spare you. Zhao Youlin, just you wait!” she ruthlessly said Zhao Youlin.
After she spoke, she turned around and left. It looked as though she was running away from the place.
When the bodyguards in black suits saw Zhao Youxi leaving, they could not be bothered with anything else and quickly went after her.
Even from a distance, Zhao Youlin could see Zhao Youxi behaving violently toward them while angrily yelling, “Why should I hire all of you lousy people? None of you can help me at this critical time. Trash! You’re trash!”
Zhao Youlin quietly stared at Zhao Youxi and those pitiful bodyguards who acted as her punching bags while they left. When she recalled the fierce words that Zhao Youxi uttered before she left, she could not help but chuckle.
Some people in the world really deserved to be punished. Zhao Youxi clearly knew that she would not be able to gain any advantage, yet she kept appearing in front of her and causing a ruckus. That made Zhao Youlin speechless.
It was only after Zhao Youlin was done with Zhao Youxi that she remembered someone else was still taking care of Joy. So, she quickly turned around and went to find Joy.
It was not the first time Joy had seen his mother punishing people who had e to make trouble. The innocent boy did not look very surprised and frightened. Only when Zhao Youlin returned did he immediately rush into her arms. He nervously asked, “Mommy, did you get injured?”
Zhao Youlin took the chance to hold her precious son in her arms. She patted his back while she gently forted him, “Mommy is all right. Don’t worry, Joy.”
It was hard for others to relate her gentle demeanor to her ruthlessness when she calmly threatened Zhao Youxi like an Asura from hell, stating that she would disfigure her face.
Perhaps her gentleness was only shown to specific people. Ye Yan thought about it, and it was so hard for him to ignore that his heart suddenly skipped a beat.
Zhao Youlin forted Joy before she raised her head and glanced at Ye Yan who was in a slight daze. She smiled faintly and said, “Mr. Ye, thank you for helping me look after Joy just now.”
Ye Yan was absentminded for a moment because of Zhao Youlin’s smile. Both of them had met several times before. Zhao Youlin was polite, as well as distant, toward him, and her smile was also the same.
It was the first time she had smiled in such a friendly manner to him. pared with her previous smiles, he found this one very precious.
“It’s nothing, Ms. Zhao. But we’ll sound like strangers if you keep calling me Mr. Ye. Just call me Yan.” Ye Yan was the best in taking advantage of the situation. Zhao Youlin had finally started to be friendly with him, so he naturally needed to make the most of it.
Zhao Youlin hesitated for a while before she casually nodded, but she did not say anything else. Although she felt grateful for his help, she was not ready to have too many interactions with this man, who had been labeled as dangerous.
Ye Yan clearly noticed it. While he felt upset, he also understood that he could not force some things. So, he stopped pushing it.
The two of them talked politely for some time before Zhao Youlin resolutely found an excuse to leave with Joy. “I still have something to do, so I need to go now. Joy, say goodbye to Uncle Ye.”
“Goodbye, Uncle Ye!” Joy obediently bade goodbye to Ye Yan before he held Zhao Youlin’s hand and left without turning back.
As they left, Ye Yan stared at them, and the gentle smile on his face finally faded away. His eyes were also filled with thought-provoking plexity.
This woman had an unfathomable dual personality. One of her sides was that of an angel, while the other was of a devil. She was clearly very contradictory, but strangely enough, she emanated a unique presence that made people subconsciously attracted to her. They would be bewitched and finally… fall for her.
