In a pitch-black world, blocks of purple modules continuously appeared, as if being printed out by a printer.
In an instant, the purple modules took on a complete form, and the entire world lit up.
This was a world forged from blood and fire. Gray pillars thrust into a lake of crimson magma, upon which floated corpses, like ingredients being stewed.
Xu Lang stood atop one of the stone pillars, gazing ahead at the sword-wielding skeleton cloaked in a purple cape.
Its bones were more crystalline than those of a typical skeleton soldier, its fra more three-dinsional, without a stooped posture. Strangely, it even gave off a sense of having a complete, lifelike visage, as if its facial features were still present on its skull.
"Hehe~ It's been a long ti since anyone has co to my place!" The soul fire in the eyes of the Purple Cape Skeleton flickered with a purple hue. It didn't possess the intense aggression of other monsters, yet it felt even more terrifying.
This guy could think!
Compared to a raging bull, humans are more afraid of seeing a cow reading a book. And if that cow is looking at you with intelligent eyes, it would absolutely send chills down your spine!
"Have you been here long?" Xu Lang's gaze was placid as he pressed on: "Do you know about the Mad King Building's past?"
"Mad King... So this place has been rebuilt into a building now..." The Purple Cape Skeleton spoke so words, but parts of its speech were censored;
Xu Lang couldn't hear anything.
Xu Lang frowned, guessing this was the Mad King Building's deliberate doing.
The Mad King Building definitely harbored a great secret. He wondered when he could beco the Building Daddy.
"My apologies, I said so things you couldn't understand again... Let explain the rules of your trial to you." The Purple Cape Skeleton suddenly seed to realize sothing and stared at Xu Lang.
This final trial wasn't much different from the previous twelve levels;
defeating the opponent counted as victory.
If one felt incapable of defeating the Purple Cape Skeleton, they could jump into the magma pool themselves and endure for three minutes. That would also count as a win, though in the Purple Cape Skeleton's eyes, this was an "inferior thod of winning" that avoided combat.
The true way to win was still to defeat him.
Xu Lang looked down at the bubbling crimson magma, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.
Endure for three minutes? Even a dragon would turn into barbecue!

Xu Lang was utterly horrified!
This Purple Cape Skeleton had no killing intent. His usually reliable Sixth Sense had just failed him, otherwise he could have reacted even faster.
Furthermore, this guy's teleportation actually had no cooldown!
That was just downright fucking broken!
"Get ready, I'm going to get serious!" The Purple Cape Skeleton's figure disappeared once more, appearing in the air about two ters away from Xu Lang, its blade now sheathed in a layer of purple energy!
A pale purple blade light grazed past Xu Lang's hair, striking a deep gash into a stone pillar.
The next instant, another blade light ca slashing from behind Xu Lang!
In the following monts, the Purple Cape Skeleton unleashed a total of seventy-eight blade lights, so even fired consecutively, but Xu Lang dodged them all.
Having adapted to this combat pattern, Xu Lang gradually grew more composed, which greatly surprised the Purple Cape Skeleton.
After all, most people would only grow more panicked under such high-intensity evasion, yet Xu Lang had actually adapted.
"Not ordinary in spirit and will, are you?" The Purple Cape Skeleton chuckled twice, then suddenly unleashed a blade light.
This blade light carried a certain tremor, at least two ters long. Its weakness was that the Purple Cape Skeleton was too far from Xu Lang;
Xu Lang only needed to sidestep to avoid it.
Yet, Xu Lang directly leaped to another pillar.

The mont he left, the stone pillar he had been standing on collapsed with a crash, seemingly affected by the tremoring blade light.
"Wisdom isn't lacking either." The Purple Cape Skeleton lightly flicked its purple blade with a bony finger. "What a pity."
Xu Lang's expression turned grave, sensing sothing big was about to happen.
He hadn't counterattacked yet because he was testing the Purple Cape Skeleton's attack patterns.
But that didn't an he wouldn't fight back. The Purple Cape Skeleton's opening should appear the mont it unleashed its "ultimate move." Otherwise, this ability of infinite teleportation was just too bugged.
—Unfair, so damn unfair!
Xu Lang suddenly felt he understood those Mad King Building players who couldn't stand him.
"Young man... die with pride!" The Purple Cape Skeleton appeared behind Xu Lang once more, the purple energy on its long blade intensifying to the extre!
A terrifying, sky-piercing blade light erupted violently behind Xu Lang!
A human right arm soared high into the air, the blood flowers dissolving into nothingness within the purple blade light.
A stone pillar collapsed with a roar as a figure shot towards another pillar, feet tapping rapidly as it flipped to the top.
Simultaneously, another purple figure shot towards the cavern wall, sliding down!
Xu Lang's expression was cold and fierce, yet his severed arm wasn't bleeding.
Just now, he had lost an arm, but the Purple Cape Skeleton had paid the price of being kicked by him!
This was the first ti the Purple Cape Skeleton had been hit.
"Gah gah~ Such strength!" The Purple Cape Skeleton teleported to appear on another stone pillar.
Its laughter carried a hint of anger now, as if genuinely provoked.
In the next mont, it appeared behind Xu Lang again, brimming with malice.
However, it didn't attack imdiately. Instead, it kept blinking in and out of existence!
Slowly, sweat began to secrete on Xu Lang's body, and his injuries showed signs of worsening.
Xu Lang's ntal energy was severely depleted. In the end, the Purple Cape Skeleton slashed him down into the magma!
"Too green, the Mad King he..." The Purple Cape Skeleton let its sword-wielding arm drop, looking at Xu Lang as if it said sothing more.
After falling into the magma, Xu Lang's body imdiately began to lt.

"Hyper-frequency blinking, disgusting!"
Xu Lang rolled over and climbed out of bed, cursing how broken it was.
If the Purple Cape Skeleton were a building-raiding monster, then with that blinking skill alone, no player would dare step outside.
It's no exaggeration to say that with a skill like that, he could go on a rampage in the Blood Mist World. While such a cheesy skill isn't without counterasures, to truly counter it, one must have a chanism that completely overwhelms it. Otherwise, an extre price must be paid!
Cao Yaxuan, passing by, saw Xu Lang's face alternating between green and red, a look of pity on her face.
"This kid is done for, rolling around in bed all day."

This was the first point-grinding session after the Nightmare Bed reached Level Five.
Starting the grind a little earlier is perfectly reasonable, right?
