Lin Shen held Zheng Yanfei in his arms, listening quietly.
Her family situation was much like Lin Ping had described, but from her perspective, he learned so new details.
For instance, she didn’t actually hold much resentnt toward her father. She knew he treated her well; he was just a bit weak-willed.
Zheng Yanfei, on the other hand, had a much bigger problem with her stepmother.
But she didn’t have the heart to make a scene, so she could only move far away from ho and co to Modu all by herself...
"Oh, wait. I have an aunt, too!"
Zheng Yanfei slapped her forehead in frustration.
’How could I have forgotten about that!’
She had been so focused on figuring out how to win over Lin Shen lately that she hadn’t been paying much attention to anything else.
Plus, her aunt’s marriage was on the rocks recently, so she hadn’t wanted to bother her during such a difficult ti.

"I have to go see her soon."
After Zheng Yanfei made her decision, Lin Shen’s interest was piqued. He feigned ignorance and asked with a smile.
"You have an aunt?"

This thought put Lin Shen sowhat at ease. He got up, grabbed so popcorn and soda from the snack room next door, and started to watch the movie in earnest.

In truth, Zheng Yanfei had no interest in the movie. She had only co to the private theater to be alone with Lin Shen, interact more, and deepen their relationship.

The little girl began to turn on the charm, hugging Lin Shen’s arm and shaking it back and forth.
"Honey, just help out, please?"
"Didn’t kissing already warm you up?"
"I want to try a different way!"

Lin Shen didn’t know why the little girl was being so proactive. ’Shouldn’t I be the one to initiate this kind of thing?’
’But this is good, too,’ he thought. ’It’s clear she has a better understanding of what it ans to be a lover.’
"Alright."
Lin Shen pinched Zheng Yanfei’s delicate cheek, then stood up in front of her with a wicked smile.
"Then I’ll warm you up properly."

Tang Tian waved the practice bow in her hand excitedly.
In the back garden, the group was playing an archery ga.
Four targets were set up in the distance. Each person had a practice bow and five arrows, competing to see who was the most accurate.
At first, since none of them had ever done this before, they barely hit the targets, even with the archery instructor the butler had found to teach them.
But as ti went on, everyone gradually got the hang of archery.

"I haven’t seen her for a while. Where is she?"
"She probably went out with Lin Shen,"
Tang Tian explained. Hearing this, Cheng Xiao crossed her arms, snorted, and put on a disdainful expression.
"Went out? Don’t tell he thought we were spending too much on the activities and just made an excuse to sneak off with Feifei?"
"He should have just said he thought this place was too expensive! If it was too expensive, we wouldn’t have co to this manor. But no, he had to act all generous, putting up a front and making things awkward for everyone."
"Lin Shen isn’t that kind of person."
Before anyone else could react to Cheng Xiao’s rant, the usually quiet Jiang Yan suddenly spoke up to defend Lin Shen.
"Even if he went out, I’m sure he’ll be back later. It’s not right for you to say that."
"And you’re so sure of that?"
Cheng Xiao clearly didn’t believe it, but she was a little afraid of Jiang Yan.
