"It’s truly amazing that these transport vehicles, silent for who knows how long, can still start up to full capacity," Loken remarked.
After the workers cleared the pathways and Li Ang restarted the tracks through Faser, the transport units piled outside the core area of the chanical Creation Furnace were set back on track and started running again.
The power of the chanical Creation Furnace was transmitted through the tracks made of Magic tal. The transport vehicles moved at a rapid speed, with the ability to accelerate and decelerate instantly. Despite having no seats, they were already top-quality high-speed passenger carriages.
The track circles around the massive chanical furnace, reaching the end of each Machine Core Tunnel. Once the track transport beca smooth, all the hostages from the seven shipyards could be rescued with maximum efficiency.
Upon discovering other pathways, and based on the analysis by the people from the Shadow Shipyard about the City of the Ship’s Rudder, each pathway was confird to correspond to a shipyard.
"Then, the rescue operation begins."
Li Ang, Morales, Farina, ii, and luna were at the forefront. These three individuals represented the highest level of combat power on Li Ang’s side and were considered "one of us." After rescuing the hostages, he also needed to imdiately carry out a covert mission to the Sky Fla Shipyard to seize the Startup Chip.
Before initiating the official offensive, this was a secret operation that required a limited number of participants with sufficient capability, hence the selected participants here.
The Order Knights followed behind, representing the Guild. They were the most concerned about whether the workers and their families could be rescued, a concept ingrained by the Sky Knight Guild.
So of the other pathways resembled the one at the Shadow Shipyard, filled with silent golems and transport units, while others were empty, presumably not frequently used even in the Ancient Era.
The pathway to the Star Shipyard was quite spacious. Following it to the end, Li Ang used the rune given by Akuya to open the door.
The door’s heavy chanical sound resonated into the deep underground space behind it. Li Ang had previously observed the position of the door from outside, recognized the direction, and walked toward the room where the hostages from the Star Shipyard were located.
Not far away, he could faintly hear so echoes, evidently human-made sounds. They must have heard the sound of the door opening, which caused a commotion.
Before long, the group led by the factory director encountered Li Ang and his party. They were initially startled but then revealed expressions of relief that said, "It’s finally over," upon recognizing Li Ang’s face and the Flower Sword insignia on the Order Knight’s armor.
"Thank you, thank you all!"
Even the factory director, who was quite knowledgeable outside of the Sky Knight, choked up at this mont. As the news of their full rescue spread to the other people in the rear, those who had been instructed by Li Ang dared not cheer loudly. Still, the repressed joy, crying, and excitent beca a collective sound.
Once they cald down a bit, they could continue to inform how the rescue operation should progress.
Upon learning that the Machine Core Tunnel gate had been opened, the shipyard’s higher-ups were astonished, but seeing Loken’s people put them at ease.
Even if they weren’t witnesses to the split back in the day, they were aware that the Shadow Shipyard truly existed in the world.
Over the years, legends about Loken and others had evolved many tis, possibly portraying them as demons or wielders of unimaginable powers. Therefore, even if the specific process was unclear, they could accept this reality.
The rescue operation went far more smoothly than anticipated. Most of the shipyard families were led by an Order Knight toward the chanical Creation Furnace. At the end of the passage, workers sat in transport vehicles awaiting their arrival.
These people would be taken to the Shadow Factory for temporary settlent. The deep underground of the tal island that is the City of the Ship’s Rudder is the safest place for the imminent war.
Star Factory Director Bostein shook hands with Loken, his expression complex.
"Old man, although we’ve never t, I’ve long heard of you. After today, regardless of the outco, the situation in the City of the Ship’s Rudder will change. The Shadow Shipyard will erge into the light, and you will beco the creators of a new order."
Loken glanced sideways at Li Ang and the others, saying, "A reasonable order is a natural thing, with or without us. We’re rely advancing this result. Don’t think this is our achievent; we were also helped by the bright side of this world, which allowed us to stand here."
"Of course, we won’t overlook the assistance from our Sky Knight friends. Mr. Li Ang saved us during the most critical ti. Once this ordeal is over, anything related to shipbuilding can be entrusted to us."
Bostein earnestly nodded to the Sky Knights present.
"You shouldn’t all leave. Help explain to the other shipyard people," Li Ang laughed.
The people from Star were those he had direct contact with, but in so other shipyards, he only confird their locations without communicating with them.
Though they eagerly awaited rescue, explanations and reassurance took ti. If senior mbers from shipyards who were fellow captors stepped forward, things would proceed much more smoothly.
Returning to the chanical Creation Furnace, everyone was first amazed by a space resembling a giant’s corridor. While being transported quickly to the other side of the furnace, they were once again speechless, as the ancient chanical array balls resembling miracles ca into view.
Even after getting off at the tunnel at the end of the Shadow Shipyard, so hadn’t recovered their wits.
"Next, please take care of the workers too,"
the Star Shipyard side seriously said upon leaving to Li Ang and the Order Knights.
