Gu Kai’s words were cut off as the woman who had been eating heartily just monts before suddenly stood up, covered her mouth, and ran toward the restroom.
“So boring.”
Gu Kai’s lips curled into a disdainful smirk. A few casual remarks and she was off to the restroom to vomit. How could such a woman be fit to enter the grand doors of his Gu Family ho?
A few minutes later, the woman returned to her seat, her complexion slightly pale.
“Mr. Gu, I’m very sorry, I just…”
“It’s okay, you’ll get used to it.”
Gu Kai smiled faintly, not feeling apologetic at all for causing the lady to feel nauseous. Instead, he interrupted her, continuing, “I average two surgeries a day. What I told you about just now is quite normal. If you saw a craniotomy or…”
“Mr. Gu, I have sothing else to attend to, I need to leave.”
Without waiting for Gu Kai to finish, the woman grabbed her purse and bolted.
As he watched her flee the hall, Gu Kai couldn’t help laughing out loud and took out his phone to call Wen Jin, “Ah Jin, co join at the Yi Pin Xuan Pavilion for a al.”
Half an hour later, the person sitting across from Gu Kai had changed to Wen Jin.
The original two dishes and one soup were cleared from the table, replaced with their favorite dishes.

His eyes twinkled as he asked, “So, the person you were supposed to et on your blind date, she didn’t stand you up, did she?”
Gu Kai snorted. His expression of grievance swiftly morphed into one of arrogance and pride, “Scared her off with just a couple of sentences.”
“Scared off? What do you an?”
Wen Jin was puzzled. Gu Kai was handso and aristocratic; his habitual white coat made him look every bit the genteel and refined man.
Anyone who didn’t know him would believe at first glance that he was a gentleman, mild as jade. But now, Wen Jin knew better; Gu Kai’s haughtiness was in his bones and couldn’t just be feigned away.
Gu Kai picked up a chopstick full of food and elegantly placed it in his mouth. After swallowing, he explained, “I told her that after seeing all that stuff in surgery, I lose my appetite. She ran off scared. How could such a cowardly woman even think about setting foot into our Gu Family’s threshold?”
By the end, Gu Kai was full of scorn.
Wen Jin’s mouth twitched, not quite agreeing. “Ah Kai, when you talk about those things, it’s not just girls, even n would probably lose their appetite. If Uncle Gu knew you were doing this, do you think he’d let you off?”
“I’ve thought it through, no big deal. If they co one by one, I’ll just scare them off.”
