In the corridor, a cleaner was mopping the floor. Mo Xiuchen’s brow furrowed, and he said tensely, “Ranran, watch out, the floor may be slippery.”

Wen Ran responded softly, deeply touched by Mo Xiuchen’s attentiveness. Although it wasn’t yet confird whether she was truly pregnant, she had beco more cautious.

Wen Jin glanced at Mo Xiuchen, then stepped out of the ward to wait outside.
“Mo Xiuchen, it won’t,” Wen Ran explained gently, feeling that Mo Xiuchen’s intense anxiety had to be due to him not being ntally prepared.
Usually, Mo Xiuchen believed everything Wen Ran said, but this ti, he did not trust her words. He stared intently at the attending doctor, but fortunately, the doctor was patient and explained everything in detail. Only then did he take Wen Ran for the ultrasound.

Upon exiting the operating room, Gu Kai received a ssage asking him to visit the dean’s office.
Gu Kai thought it was his father summoning him, perhaps to arrange another blind date that evening, and so he didn’t go imdiately. Instead, he returned to his office, leisurely drank a glass of water, and leaned back into his leather chair.
Pulling out his phone, he dialed Wen Ran’s number.
After a few rings, Mo Xiuchen’s voice ca through, “Hello, Ah Kai.”
“Mo Xiuchen, why are you answering her phone? Are you and Ranran ho yet?”
“Are you finished with surgery?” Mo Xiuchen asked instead of answering. Gu Kai curled his lips into a smile, replying cheerfully, “Yes, the surgery just finished. Tell , where are you? I’ll co to you.”
“Co to the top floor office.”
Mo Xiuchen dropped the sentence and hung up the call.
After the call, he walked into the office, where Wen Ran, seeing him enter, imdiately asked with a cheerful laugh, “Mo Xiuchen, what did my brother say?”
Mo Xiuchen’s lips curved into an enchanting arc, a smile had been lingering at the corners of his mouth ever since he found out Ranran was pregnant about ten minutes ago.
He walked over and sat in front of Wen Ran, his smiling eyes turning again to her belly. The thought that she was carrying his child filled him with imnse pride and happiness, even though Ranran’s pregnancy was unexpected.
“He asked where we were. It seems he doesn’t know we’ve already co to the hospital.”
Hearing his words, Wen Jin’s eyes flashed with a hint of surprise, while Gu Yan sitting opposite furrowed his brows slightly, an aura of authority erging between his brows, “Ah Kai has been dodging these past few days.”
“Dad, why is my brother avoiding you?”
Wen Ran looked at Gu Yan, puzzled, while Mo Xiuchen’s lips curled up in a knowing smile.
From where Wen Jin was sitting, he could clearly see the mixed schadenfreude and understanding in Mo Xiuchen’s smile, and his eyes narrowed slightly, but he didn’t make a sound.
The seriousness in Gu Yan’s brows was fleeting, and when he answered Wen Ran’s question, he again revealed a kind, gentle smile and said, “Your brother’s afraid I’ll set him up on a blind date. In the twenty days you and Xiuchen went on a trip, I had him go on five blind dates, and every ti, he scared them away.”
“Five blind dates in twenty days, that’s not too many.”
Mo Xiuchen looked at Wen Ran, saying nonchalantly.
Wen Ran asked with amusent, “Dad, how did my brother scare them away? When you ntioned blind dating last ti, I thought you were just kidding.”
Who knew that her brother really went on blind dates and managed to scare them away?
“Why would it be a joke, Ran Ran? You’ve co back at the right ti. Tell , could a man as handso, dashing, noble, and elegant as your brother really go through life without anyone wanting him, to the point where he needs blind dates?”
As the office door was pushed open, Gu Kai’s clear and proud voice, tinged with a hint of frustration, ca from the entrance. His upright figure appeared in everyone’s line of sight.
As he walked towards Wen Ran with an elegant stride, his lab coat fluttered gently in the breeze, truly embodying grace and noble charm.
Wen Ran watched Gu Kai approach, her eyes and brows sparkling with an increasingly brilliant and radiant smile.
“Ah Kai, go sit over there, keep your distance from Ran Ran.”
As Gu Kai approached the sofa, Mo Xiuchen extended a hand to block him from continuing and pointed to where Gu Yan was seated.
With Wen Jin on one side and Wen Ran on the other, there really was no place for Gu Kai.
“Xiuchen, it’s been a month since I’ve seen my sister. You get up first, let talk to her. Ran Ran, tell Xiuchen to sit over there.”
Gu Kai, unable to command Mo Xiuchen, resorted to making eye signals at Wen Ran.
“Xiuchen?”
Wen Ran called out tentatively, her clear and bright eyes looking at Mo Xiuchen.
Mo Xiuchen’s expression was serious, his tone firm, “Ah Kai, Ran Ran is your sister, that’s true, but now she’s my wife, and moreover, she’s the mother of my child. Either go on a blind date or take a seat across there. From now on, don’t co here trying to compete with for Ran Ran.”
“What?”
Gu Kai filtered out Mo Xiuchen’s nonsense, asking about the important part.
Did he just say Ran Ran is the mother of his child?
Mo Xiuchen watched his surprised expression and the corners of his mouth curled into a smug smile, while Wen Jin, looking on, found it irkso and couldn’t help but shoot Mo Xiuchen a contemptuous look; how long did this guy plan to gloat?
“Ran Ran’s pregnant, so from now on, no more getting touchy-feely.”
His Ran Ran would now be treasured more than a national treasure; apart from him, no one was allowed to get too close to her.
Gu Kai was stunned for a second, then darkness in Mo Yu’s eyes erupted with joyful light, he brushed aside Mo Xiuchen’s arm in front of him and stepped forward, reaching out to grab Wen Ran’s hand, “Ran Ran, is it true? I’m going to be promoted to uncle? When did this happen?”
Too thrilled to care that Mo Xiuchen once again blocked him, resulting in a grab at empty air, Gu Kai was not annoyed.
Instead, his gaze was intently fixed on Wen Ran.
