“I’ll drive you. You’re not in a state to drive.” Wen Jin finished speaking, pushed open the door to the office, strode in to drop off the docunts, and when she ca out, she had car keys in one hand and was dialing a phone with the other.
Bai Yiyi’s eyes flickered, “Are you calling Gu Kai?”
Before she finished speaking, the call was answered. Wen Jin didn’t reply to her question but spoke into the phone instead, “Ah Kai, Bai Yiyi’s daughter injured her eye and they’re about to reach your hospital. Can you make arrangents for them? I’m driving her to the hospital now.”
On the phone, Gu Kai was surprised, but as a doctor accustod to ergencies, calmly agreed.
“Ranran, Ah Jin told that Bai Yiyi’s daughter hurt her eye and they’re on their way to the hospital. I’ll make arrangents and go downstairs to check.”
Gu Kai, due to a patient, had missed Ranran’s ultrasound. He had just arrived and hadn’t had a chance to speak with her when Wen Jin’s call ca through.
Hearing about Tongtong’s eye injury, Wen Ran’s face imdiately showed concern, urging, “Brother, you should hurry and make arrangents.”
Gu Kai didn’t linger; he made calls as he walked briskly away.
Seeing Wen Ran’s worried face, Mo Xiuchen spoke softly, “Ranran, if you’re concerned, we can wait a bit before going back. Since Ah Jin called Ah Kai, Bai Yiyi must be with him.”
“My brother doesn’t know Aunt Bai, and we should go downstairs to check. Yiyi is at work, and it’s always Aunt Bai who looks after Tongtong.”

Mo Xiuchen nodded, his arm encircling her waist as they walked together toward the elevator, “Ranran, don’t rush, take it slow.”

Wen Ran smiled and took the elevator down. As soon as they reached the lobby on the first floor, they saw Bai Yiyi’s mother step out of a taxi with Tongtong in her arms, crying.
Behind them, Gu Kai and an opthalmologist were exiting another elevator.
Hearing their voices, Wen Ran turned her head and said to Gu Kai, “Brother, that’s Yiyi’s mom.”
Upon hearing this, Gu Kai and his colleague from ophthalmology promptly went forward to take Tongtong from Bai Yiyi’s mother’s arms, and seeing her pitifully crying, Gu Kai felt an indescribable emotion tug at his heart.
