Seeing his sowhat stern expression, Wen Ran hesitated before saying: “You can leave in the car first, Xiaoxiao and I will take a taxi to the hospital.”

Half an hour later, Wen Ran and Bai Xiaoxiao arrived at the hospital. As they were waiting for the elevator to go upstairs, they ran into Gu Kai.
‘Ranran, how’s your injury? Is it alright?’
Gu Kai called out to her, walking towards Wen Ran and Bai Xiaoxiao. His gaze swept over her arm and finally landed on a scar on her left cheek; the healed scar, standing out starkly on her fair and delicate face.
Wen Ran smiled lightly, answering in an unconcerned tone: “I’m fine, Older Brother Gu, don’t worry.”
Gu Kai reached out to grab her arm, “Let have a look at the wound.”
Wen Ran was slightly surprised, but she didn’t flinch back.
After examining her wound, Gu Kai said warmly, “Go and see your brother first. Later, let change your dressing; I have a very good ointnt that won’t leave any scars on your arm or face.”
“Elder Brother Gu, you don’t have to bother. It’s just a small matter like changing the dressing. How could you do it personally?”
Wen Ran politely declined. She understood that because of his relationship with Mo Xiuchen, Gu Kai had always been kind to her.
Gu Kai let go of her, smiled and teased her, “It’s rare for to be of help. Since you addressed as Elder Brother Gu, then forget about formalities. Your brother must be eagerly waiting for you. The elevator is here, let’s go up.”
If she continued to refuse after he had spoken in such a manner, she would appear difficult.
She responded with a mischievous smile, “Alright then, I will go and see my brother first, and co find you later.”
“Yes, go inside!”
Gu Kai held the elevator button, watching as Wen Ran and Bai Xiaoxiao entered the elevator. As the elevator doors gently closed, and the nuric pad changed, he pressed his lips together and knitted his eyebrows, a certain emotion scattering away from the depth of his eyes.
He felt he was affected by Mo Xiuchen. Every ti he faced Wen Ran, he felt a sense of familiarity.Mo Xiuchen could identify Wen Ran as his savior, but he couldn’t because his sister had a mole on her chin, which Wen Ran didn’t have.

As Wen Ran pushed open the door to the ward, she saw Wen Jin, her brother, lying on the ground, looking pale and in pain, yet he was struggling to stand on his own.
Her face changed and she called out in distress, ‘Brother’, before running over to help him up. “Brother, what happened to you?”
