She appeared haggard, his lips tightly pressed together, his voice low and resolute, “I’ll stay with her.”
“Mo Xiuchen, since Ranran is asleep, why don’t you rest a bit too? I’ll take Ziyi to the office.”
Gu Yan cared deeply for his daughter, and equally for his son-in-law.
Mo Xiuchen gently refused, “Dad, I promised Ranran not to let Ziyi leave the room. She would be uneasy waking up and not seeing Ziyi. You go ahead with your tasks; I’ll stay here with Ranran.”
“Alright then, call if you need anything.”
Gu Yan didn’t insist further, his phone rang, and he answered the call as he left the hospital room.
Gu Kai looked at Wen Ran on the hospital bed and softly said, “As long as Momo isn’t found, Ranran won’t be at peace. But, compared to finding Momo, Ranran surely cares more about whether she is safe.”

Mo Xiuchen, one arm holding his son and one hand holding Wen Ran’s, never let go.
Gu Kai furrowed his brows, his tone slightly deep, “Bai Yiyi also confird that this has nothing to do with Li En. I checked, Li En went on a business trip the day before yesterday and currently isn’t in G City.”
