Chapter 1156: 1155 Embarrassing
Downstairs in the dining room.
At the oval dining table, of all sizes, the table was full.
The Li Qian family of three, Zhou Lin’s group counting as another family of three, only Qin Mu and Wen Jin were the single nobility.
They naturally sat together.
Bai Xiaoxiao and An Lin were seated together, right across from Qin Mu and Wen Jin.
Gu Kai seed to be sowhat surrounded, as Tongtong was particularly fond of him. After Bai Yiyi ca downstairs, Tongtong still clung to Gu Kai, refusing to let her hold her.
Fang Zhiwei tried to coax Tongtong into her arms but also ended in failure.
Thus, Gu Kai was sitting between the two of them, with Bai Yiyi and Fang Zhiwei sitting on his left and right.
This scene was a bit awkward.
Bai Yiyi wanted to switch seats, but Tongtong grabbed her; if she walked away, Tongtong would pout and cry, and Gu Kai would never stand to let his precious daughter cry. He frowned and said, “Tongtong just ate, don’t make her cry. Just sit here. It will be convenient if Tongtong needs anything.”

Gu Kai held Tongtong on his lap with one hand and a pair of chopsticks in the other hand. With a frown, he stared at the dishes on the table, unsure which one to let Tongtong eat.
Tongtong was not even a year old; though she had teeth, it was only two upper and two lower front teeth.
He turned to ask Bai Yiyi.
Bai Yiyi blinked and countered, “Didn’t you say that Tongtong had so porridge earlier? Then she doesn’t need to eat anything else.”
“Tongtong didn’t drink much porridge earlier, just half a small bowl.”
Fang Zhiwei picked up the conversation with a smile. After speaking, she scooped up a bit of stead egg and offered it to Tongtong’s lips, saying, “She can eat this stead egg. Tongtong, co on, open your mouth.”
Tongtong furrowed her pretty brows and clamped her mouth shut, refusing to eat.
Being rejected by Tongtong in front of everyone, Fang Zhiwei felt a bit embarrassed. Seeing this, Bai Yiyi put down her chopsticks and explained gently, “For so reason, Tongtong doesn’t like to eat stead eggs. Give her to , you’re not used to holding a child while eating. Only the first ti, I managed to feed her a little bit, but she spat it out without swallowing. Since then, she closes her mouth tight whenever she sees stead eggs.”
“Is Tongtong really that adorable, to have a feud with stead eggs?”
Bai Xiaoxiao asked, amused.
Qin Mu, An Lin, and Wen Jin watched Gu Kai with only smiles, saying nothing, while Fang Zhiwei’s expression stiffened for a mont, then quickly her smile returned, explaining generously, “In this regard, Tongtong takes after Ah Kai. Ah Kai doesn’t eat stead eggs either.”
“Genetic inheritance is really amazing.”

Bai Yiyi laughed awkwardly. Ah, how she wished she could take Tongtong and leave. She and Gu Kai clearly had nothing to do with each other yet had the closest of relations.
His official girlfriend sat on the side, and this group of people who loved chaos were all waiting for a show.
There were so many other topics to talk about, so why did they have to go on endlessly about Tongtong’s genetic traits?

Wen Jin and Qin Mu still just listened without speaking.
Gu Kai, the man who once scoffed at marrying and having children, now found the topic of genetic inheritance quite fascinating.

Suddenly, the ringing of Bai Yiyi’s phone brightened her eyes, and she breathed a long sigh of relief internally; she reached for her phone faster than usual.
Next to her, Gu Kai noticed out of the corner of his eye how quickly she took out her phone and stood up to answer the call, a flash of darkness crossing the depth of his eyes.
“Hello.”
Bai Yiyi stepped out of the dining room to answer the call, only when she was in the living room.
Tongtong, seeing her mother leave, imdiately turned around, her gaze following her.
“Miss Bai, this is Mr. Li’s lawyer…”
Gu Kai couldn’t hear whom Bai Yiyi was speaking to on the phone. He turned his head to glance in the direction of the living room, and turned little Tongtong’s body back around, softly asking, “Tongtong, tell Daddy, what would you like to eat?”
“Mama.”
Tongtong had just had porridge and wasn’t hungry now. She was disinterested in the food on the table and wriggled, trying to find her mother.
Gu Kai felt a bit of a headache, “Tongtong, be good, Mama will co back in after she finishes the call.”
Fortunately, Bai Yiyi wasn’t on the phone for long, just a minute, and she returned to the dining room.
“I’m sorry, I have to leave early, everyone please enjoy your al,” Bai Yiyi re-entered the dining room, did not sit down but said her goodbyes.
After explaining to everyone, Bai Yiyi reached out her hand to Gu Kai, “Hand Tongtong to , I’m taking her ho. What ti are you leaving tomorrow? Just call half an hour in advance, and I’ll bring Tongtong down.”
“You’ve got things to do, go on with your business. I’ll look after Tongtong this afternoon.”
Gu Kai’s tone was indifferent, showing no intention of handing Tongtong back to her.
Bai Yiyi’s expression changed slightly.

“No need, Little Liu or Qing Feng can send us,”
Bai Yiyi didn’t even think before blurting out her refusal.
As soon as she spoke, Gu Kai’s handso face suddenly darkened, “Do you think Qing Feng and Little Liu have nothing to do all day, just waiting around to drive you?”
