Chapter 1171: 1170 Bai Yiyi, you crazy woman
Tongtong hasn’t seen her daddy for so long that tonight she insisted on having Gu Kai sleep with her. Gu Kai had no choice but to coax her to sleep before he could leave.
Bai Yiyi escorted Gu Kai to the door.
Gu Kai stopped, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Bai Yiyi in front of him, his tone slightly indifferent as he said, “Don’t drink anymore in the future, it’s not good for Tongtong.”

When the Maybach approached the villa, from a distance, he saw a car parked at the entrance of his house.
Gu Kai’s eyes narrowed, he slowed down, and drove over slowly.
The car door opened, and Fang Zhiwei got out, drawing her coat around her as she stood in front of Gu Kai’s car.
“Why are you here?”
Gu Kai got out of the car, his tall figure standing beside the vehicle, looking passively at Fang Zhiwei a few steps away. It had been half a year since he’d seen her; she seed thinner, but otherwise, no noticeable changes were apparent.
Fang Zhiwei didn’t answer imdiately. Instead, she took her ti studying Gu Kai. He was casually dressed, looking spirited, handso, and elegant, with an air of careless grace.
Just as handso as before he went abroad. No, he was even more handso than before.
Even though they hadn’t seen each other for half a year, her heart still raced uncontrollably at the sight of him. Even as he stood there with his indifferent expression, she found this man incredibly handso and charming.
“I heard you were back, so I ca here to wait for you.”
She bit her lip lightly and spoke softly, her eyes fixed on him.

Whether he took her words to heart was uncertain.

Fang Zhiwei smiled gently, her warm and considerate smile tinged with an undeniable hint of sadness.
She didn’t linger but instead turned, got into her car, and drove away.
When Gu Kai got ho, his father, Gu Yan, was sitting in the living room waiting for him. Seeing him return alone, a flash of understanding crossed Gu Yan’s eyes, but he still casually asked, “Xiaofang was outside, did you see her?”
Gu Kai walked to the sofa and sat down, leaning back against it tiredly and yawning before answering languidly, “I saw her. She said she knew I ca back to the country today, so she ca to see . Dad, you didn’t tell her, did you?”
Gu Kai’s return to the country had been a sudden decision.
He hadn’t told Mo Xiuchen and Ranran, wanting to surprise them tomorrow.
He arrived ho today and had taken a nap, then went to see Tongtong.
Gu Yan picked up the teacup in front of him, took a sip, and calmly said, “No, although I think Xiaofang is not bad and treats you well, I won’t force you when it cos to matters of the heart.”
Before the New Year, on the night before Gu Kai went abroad, he proposed a breakup to Fang Zhiwei.
Throughout the more than half a year he spent abroad, he had not contacted Fang Zhiwei once. The only thing she did was send him a ssage on his birthday; besides that, she did not bother him.
Of course, no one knew that he and Fang Zhiwei had broken up.
Except for his father, Gu Yan.
“During these months you were abroad, Xiaofang continued interacting with Ranran and went to see Ziyi and the others at ho. The blind date candidates that Professor Fang introduced to Xiaofang, she didn’t even et them, just rejected them outright.”

“Xiuchen, I’m back in the country,” Gu Kai paused, then the corners of his lips lifted happily as he said.
“I’ve known you were back for a while. Did you really think that was a secret? Let’s talk about whatever it is tomorrow.” After saying that, Mo Xiuchen hung up on Gu Kai’s call.

The next day, as soon as Gu Kai woke up, Wen Ran’s call ca through.
“Brother, Xiuchen said that you and Sister Wei had long since broken up, is that true?”
Wen Ran found out about this news half a year after Gu Kai and Fang Zhiwei broke up. When she heard this last night, she felt devastated.
Even roaming couldn’t be slower than this.
Mo Xiuchen, that guy, really kept it tight. He hadn’t even ntioned a word or hinted at it to her all this ti.
Gu Kai’s mouth twitched slightly, and he candidly said, “Ranran, it’s true. I proposed the breakup to Fang Zhiwei before I went abroad.”
“How co I only found out now? Yesterday, when Fang Zhiwei asked if you had returned, I felt it was strange.”
Wen Ran said sullenly, feeling like they were all keeping her in the dark.

“You t her last night?” Wen Ran’s voice held not only surprise but also a vague sense of guilt. It was her who leaked the news of her brother’s return to Fang Zhiwei.
Of course, she heard it from Mo Xiuchen.
Although Gu Kai hadn’t told them, Mo Xiuchen still found out about his return to the country at the first opportunity and inford Ranran.
Gu Kai said gently, “She ca looking for last night.”
