Chapter 1203: 1202 Can I refuse?
“Yiyi, your voice seems a bit off; are they treating you badly?”
Separated by the phone, Wen Jin still picked up the unusual tone in Bai Yiyi’s voice and imdiately asked with concern.
Bai Yiyi felt a warmth in her heart, thought of Old Qian that old lecher, hesitated a bit, and then said lightly, “President Wen, I’ll give you a detailed report when you return.”
“Okay, I will be back in at most an hour.”
Bai Yiyi heard soone calling out “President Wen” through the phone, said goodbye, and hung up.
At the factory gate, Qian Songnan and a few others were talking next to the flowerbeds. When Bai Yiyi approached, the driver just happened to drive the car over.
“General Qian, CEO Zhang, President Wen is in a eting in the city and suddenly needs to deliver so materials. I need to rush over now, I won’t be able to take you two back to the hotel. Later, President Wen and I will directly co to et you at your hotel.”
Bai Yiyi explained with a smile, maintaining an assertive tone that left Qian Songnan unable to press her further.
Just with a skeptical look at her, “Miss Bai, what a coincidence that President Wen suddenly needs materials during a eting. Isn’t this just an excuse because Miss Bai doesn’t want to drive us back to the hotel?”
Bai Yiyi replied lightly, “General Qian, if you are afraid that I am lying, you can call our President Wen. Because during the eting, soone showed interest in our new drug…”
“Old Qian, since Miss Bai is busy, then we should go back to the hotel first. Miss Bai, go and deliver the materials to President Wen, but don’t forget about our previously agreed terms just because you have new clients interested in your drugs.”
CEO Zhang caught the hint in Bai Yiyi’s words.
“CEO Zhang and General Qian, rest assured, no matter how popular our new drugs are, we will honor our commitnts. The most important thing is to have a pleasant cooperation.”
She emphasized the last sentence especially for Qian Songnan to hear.
Qian Songnan squinted his eyes, which soon returned to a smile. Although lecherous, he was no fool and clearly understood Bai Yiyi’s implication – a pleasant cooperation.
He humd in his mind; Bai Yiyi, this little girl, had not seen her in over two years, and she had beco much more mature and tactful, also more charming and beautiful. Now, her every frown and smile radiated a woman’s charm, making him ever more eager to taste her.
She dared to warn him; once he had her under him, no matter how many people were interested in their drugs, she could only sign contracts with them.

At five o’clock sharp, Wen Jin hurried back to the pharmaceutical factory.
In the office, he drank the water Bai Yiyi poured for him and listened to her report, a shadow of gloom crossing his eyes, “That Qian Songnan is despicable, he didn’t hurt you before, and now he still dares harbor such dirty thoughts.”
“President Wen, I lied to them this afternoon, Qian Songnan should restrain himself a bit.” Bai Yiyi saw Wen Jin getting angry and, worried he wouldn’t cooperate with Qian Songnan because of her, quickly added another line to protect the pharmaceutical factory’s interests.
“What did you say?”
Wen Jin asked with a puzzled look.
Bai Yiyi’s eyes flickered slightly, with a hint of apology, “Qian Songnan wanted to drive them back to the hotel, and I was afraid he would take advantage of improperly at that ti, and just when you called back, I told them that soone in the eting was interested in our drugs, and I needed to deliver docunts to you.”
Wen Ran chuckled, “Yiyi, you did well. I had heard before that Qian Songnan was an old lecher, but I didn’t expect he’d dare to target you. Don’t go tonight, I will send soone else.”
“President Wen, is that okay?”
Bai Yiyi asked worriedly.
Although she didn’t want to et Qian Songnan, she also didn’t want to lose such a big deal because of offending the Qians.
“It’s fine, that’s settled then, you stay ho and accompany Tongtong tonight.”
Wen Jin spoke gently, almost treating Bai Yiyi like a friend, or even rely as a secretary, as a boss, he would not let his receptionist be bullied by clients.
Worse cos to worst, they wouldn’t make that deal.
Bai Yiyi bowed gratefully to Wen Jin, “President Wen, thank you.”
With how resolute Wen Jin seed, she believed that even without her, there wouldn’t be an issue with the order.

Kangning Hospital
Gu Kai, after finishing the surgery, went to the patient’s family in the ward to explain so details. Just as he walked out of the ward, his phone rang.
“Hello, dad.”
“Ah Kai, co to my office.”
Over the phone, Gu Yan’s voice was transmitted. Gu Kai asked his assistant to go ahead while he took the elevator and pressed the top floor button.
Two minutes later, Gu Kai arrived at Gu Yan’s office where he was sitting behind his desk, examining personnel files.
“Dad, what’s up?”
Gu Kai walked over, pulled out a chair in front of the desk, glimpsed the files in his hand, and asked with confusion.
“Take a look at this, the president of T University, through Mayor Chen, wants to send a batch of interns to our hospital on the condition that we select those with outstanding results.”
Gu Yan pushed the file in front of Gu Kai.
“To intern at our hospital?”
Gu Kai frowned; he didn’t have ti to supervise interns, being busy with surgeries all day, even seeing Tongtong required making ti.
“I looked through, so students have outstanding results…”
“Can I refuse?”
Gu Kai looked down, glanced at the docunt Gu Yan slid over but didn’t reach out to flip through it, his handso brow furrowing slightly, his mood not very good.
“No.”
Gu Yan knew Ah Kai’s temperant, quite arrogant, and if left to his own devices, he’d want to avoid every troubleso task.
Gu Kai rolled his eyes as his phone rang; he took it out and saw the caller ID, raising his eyebrows, “Dad, you handle the assignnts then, Ah Jin is calling at this ti, might be inviting to dinner, it’s almost off-work ti now, I won’t be coming back for dinner tonight.”
“Ah, Ah Kai, if you don’t check, don’t complain later!”
Seeing Gu Kai getting up to leave, Gu Yan quickly reminded.
“No complaints!”
Gu Kai’s voice ca from the doorway, and with that, his handso figure disappeared from the entrance.
Stepping out of the office, he then answered the phone, his voice cheerful, “Hello, Ah Jin!”
“Working late tonight?”
Wen Jin’s voice ca through the phone waves, and Gu Kai smiled, “I actually guessed right. Are you inviting for dinner?”
“Not bad, I’m inviting you to dinner, if you’re on call, switch it; if not, even better.”
“Sothing up?”
Gu Kai’s eyes narrowed slightly, Wen Jin inviting him to dinner wasn’t an urgent matter normally.
“Ah, yes, there’s sothing. Accompany to et an important client.” Gu Kai guessed right, and Wen Jin didn’t hide it anymore.
“et a client, Ah Jin, that’s not typically your secretary’s job. Could it be Bai Yiyi isn’t following work instructions?”
Gu Kai had never seen Bai Yiyi and Wen Jin in discord before.
