Gu Kai’s expression slightly changed, but he remained silent.

Gu Kai lowered the car window, his ink-dark eyes focusing on the car next to him. On the other side of the phone, Wen Jin asked without answering, “Is sothing up?”
“Yeah, I need to see you.”
Gu Kai closed the car window and opened the car door to step out.
Possibly hearing the sound of the car door, Wen Jin asked in confusion over the phone, “Did you just get ho, or are you finding another place to drink?”
Gu Kai curved his lips faintly, softly saying, “No, I just arrived at the cetery. Quite coincidentally, I saw your car. How filial of you, not sleeping in the middle of the night, coming to the cetery to accompany your uncle and aunt.”
“You ca to the graveyard?”
Wen Jin seed quite surprised, indeed it was a coincidence.
Gu Kai climbed the steps, step by step moving forward, in the distance, there was a flickering light, it was in front of Wen Hongrui and his wife’s tombstone.
“Running to the graveyard in the middle of the night, this isn’t like you, Ah Jin, do you have sothing troubling you too?”
Gu Kai looked at Wen Jin with concern in his eyes. He had known Wen Jin for so long and had never seen him appear so burdened with worries because Wen Jin was the type of person who didn’t wear his emotions on his sleeve.
He always had a gentle smile when dealing with people, yet there was a faint estrangent. With friends, he was sincere, caring, and in his mory, Wen Jin had never had particularly awful moods.
But at this mont, even in the night, by the dim light, Gu Kai could still see the unsorted emotions in Wen Jin’s expression.
“No, just missing my parents, ca here to talk to them.”
Wen Jin’s lips curled into a slight smile, turned his gaze to look at the tombstone, where the smiling faces of his parents seed as if they were still alive.
But they had already been gone for a long ti.
When his parents were alive, although he single-handedly managed the pharmaceutical factory, he didn’t feel tired.
Back then, life was joyful, and though he occasionally felt down for so reasons, overall, he was quite happy.
“If you have anything troubling you, you can talk about it, I’ll be your listener tonight.”
Gu Kai stared at Wen Jin for a few seconds with a probing look, stepped forward, and bowed towards the tombstone, “Uncle, Auntie, it’s Ah Kai, can you tell what secret Ah Jin just told you?”
“Get lost, if my parents could really tell you, it wouldn’t just be left now.”
Wen Jin knew Gu Kai was comforting him in his own way, felt a warm current in his heart, and nudged him with his elbow, “And you, not sleeping in the middle of the night, ca to the graveyard to visit Auntie?”
“Yeah, you’re being so filial, can’t I be a little filial too?”
Gu Kai laughed softly, then left Wen Jin with a remark, “Wait for for a bit, I’ll go talk to my mom for a second, let’s go have a drink sowhere later.”
“Have you got surgery tomorrow?”
Wen Jin asked, amused.
“That’s tomorrow’s problem,” Gu Kai gestured dismissively and walked away swiftly.

Wen Jin and Gu Kai did not go out to drink, but instead bought so barbecue and side dishes and went back to Wen Jin’s house.
“Bloodlines are really miraculous. Before, Ranran always liked to eat these junk foods. My parents didn’t let her eat, and she would cling to pitifully, asking to secretly take her out to eat. It wasn’t until you and Ranran recognized each other that I realized Ranran is just like you.”
Watching Gu Kai enjoy his barbecue, Wen Jin couldn’t help but reflect on the past.
