“An Lin, you’re overthinking it right now.”
Wen Ran sat next to An Lin, took her hand, and said soothingly, “Don’t think about anything now, just get so sleep and let yourself recover. You were planning on getting married but ended up with Qin Mu. This ans you two are destined to be together.”
“And you’re saying that even heaven is helping , right?”
An Lin was amused by Wen Ran’s words, but her smile wasn’t as bright as usual.
Wen Ran raised an eyebrow, “Of course, heaven is helping you. You must have touched the heavens, and I assure you, Qin Mu will definitely fall for you.”
“Alright, since you’ve said it, I won’t think about it for now. Let’s set aside all this ss. I’m really tired now, I’ll go next door to the guest room for so sleep, and get up later to play with the kids.”

The secretary brought in two cups of coffee and quietly left the office, closing the door behind her.
Mo Xiuchen observed Qin Mu with a sharp gaze, and the smile on his lips gradually intensified, “Ah Mu, you look exhausted from last night, do you even rember?”
“Stop enjoying the spectacle.”
Qin Mu glanced sideways at him, his tone annoyed.
Mo Xiuchen laughed unrestrainedly, “Life is so bland without a good story to watch, where’s the fun in that. First, tell , what happened last night? Did so client’s wife charm you?”

Qin Mu said, holding his coffee cup and looking up at him.

In the office, Gu Kai was preparing to leave when intern Wei Jingshan entered, her arms holding a stack of materials.

“It’s this, I watched so surgical videos last night and there were so parts I didn’t understand; I wanted to ask Doctor Gu for so advice. But you were busy with surgeries and patients during the day. So I was thinking, if you have ti tonight, I could treat you to dinner, and then…”
Wei Jingshan spoke as she walked into the office with an upbeat tone.
Gu Kai stopped what he was doing and gazed at Wei Jingshan’s bright smile. He suddenly recalled Bai Yiyi’s words from noon, “Wei Jingshan likes you.”
“I have plans tonight, I don’t have ti. Whatever questions you have, wait and ask tomorrow.”
Gu Kai replied indifferently, locked the drawer, got up, and ca out from behind the desk.
Wei Jingshan’s face stiffened for a mont, disappointnt flashed in her eyes, but she quickly recovered with a bright smile, her voice crisp, “Okay, then I won’t disturb Doctor Gu anymore.”
Exiting the office, she followed Gu Kai toward the elevator direction. He asked curiously, “Why are you carrying all this stuff?”
Wei Jingshan, upon hearing that, lifted her face smilingly and looked at Gu Kai, “I’m taking them ho to review. I should be allowed to do that, right?”
Gu Kai glanced through and responded with an indifferent “Hmm,” walked a couple of steps, then stopped, “Starting from tomorrow, you’ll be interning with Dr. Qiu.”
“Ah, Doctor Gu, why is that? Did I do sothing wrong? If I did sothing wrong, you can tell , and I’ll correct it.”
Wei Jingshan’s smile imdiately turned into one of sorrow.
Her beautiful eyes looked steadily at Gu Kai, she lightly bit her lower lip, looking wronged and pitiful.
Gu Kai’s expression was cool and his tone was so calm it was untouched by any ripple: “You didn’t do anything wrong, it’s just that I’m going to be very busy for a while and won’t have the ti to ntor you or explain things. Dr. Qiu is an excellent surgeon in our departnt, he has experience ntoring interns, and he has more ti than I do.”
Wei Jingshan suddenly had teary eyes and said stubbornly, “Doctor Gu, I was with you from the start. If it’s not because I did sothing wrong, but only because you’re busy, then I won’t change my supervisor.”
She looked down at the materials in her arms, then looked up again, her tone firm, “Don’t worry, I won’t ask questions casually in the future.”
