Chapter 1254: Expose Tongtong’s origins to the public
When Mo Xiuchen arrived at the company, Gu Kai was already waiting for him in his office.
He closed the door, walked over and sat down in front of the couch, and first sized up Gu Kai: “What was Bai Yiyi’s reaction?”
Apparently not expecting him to ask this first, Gu Kai was taken aback for a mont.

“Then just let her rest at ho for a few more days,” Mo Xiuchen raised an eyebrow, with one hand resting on the couch’s arm, leaning lazily against the back of the couch.
Gu Kai gave him a look, “You think Bai Yiyi is as obedient as Tongtong? Just staying ho if you tell her to? Fortunately, she’s moved now, and the reporters don’t know where she lives.”
“You said over the phone that you want to make Tongtong’s background public. Are you going to hold a press conference?”
Mo Xiuchen asked casually.
Gu Kai pursed his thin lips lightly, lowering his gaze before saying, “Yeah, even if I make the reporter who wrote the story apologize, Bai Yiyi will still be talked about, labelled as the other woman. I’ve thought it over, might as well make Tongtong’s background public.”
Mo Xiuchen curled his lips in approval, “Not bad, once Tongtong stands out there, the rumors of Bai Yiyi being the third party will collapse on their own. However, how will you explain the origin of Tongtong?”
“Just say I had a romance with her before,” Gu Kai said nonchalantly.
Originally, he wanted to say that they are really dating now, but Bai Yiyi didn’t want to, so he dismissed that idea.
Later he thought that, perhaps, explaining only about the past might be better than saying that he is currently involved with Bai Yiyi. After all, he had dated Fang Zhiwei before.
“Have Ah Mu and An Lin left?” Gu Kai changed the subject.
“They left. Ah Mu had told their parents yesterday, saying he’d take An Lin back today. Probably next ti they co back, they’ll be husband and wife.”
Mo Xiuchen thought of sothing and a smile spread across his lips again.
“Why are you so happy?”
Gu Kai stared at the smile on his lips, feeling as though it spelled conspiracy no matter how he looked at it.
“I’m laughing at Ah Mu, didn’t you ask yesterday what advice I gave him?” Mo Xiuchen said with amusent.
“Mhm, are you willing to share now?”
Gu Kai narrowed his eyes, a flash of curiosity in his gaze.
“What’s there not to talk about? I simply told him that actions speak louder than words in getting An Lin to agree. Actually, the sa applies if you have any thoughts about Bai Yiyi,” Mo Xiuchen said with a aningful smile, a mischievous arch to his eyebrows.
Gu Kai quickly understood his implication and snorted, “I thought it was sothing else, turns out it’s this.”

After Mo Xiuchen went to work, Wen Ran asked Nanny Zhang and two other nannies to take care of Momo, Xin Xin, and Ziyi, while she visited Bai Yiyi’s House.
Bai Yiyi and Tongtong were in the living room, leaning their heads together, one big and one small on the couch.
The nanny opened the door, and as Wen Ran entered, Bai Yiyi stood up from the sofa and greeted her with a smile: “Ranran, why are you here? Where are Momo and the others?”
“I left them at ho and let the nannies take care of them.”
Wen Ran walked over and sat in front of the couch, lovingly touched Tongtong’s head, and asked softly, “Tongtong, what are you watching?”
“Jasmine, chrysanthemum.”
Tongtong smiled and looked up at Wen Ran, then lowered her head, her fair fingers pointing to the flowers on the page. Wen Ran feigned surprise with a ‘wow’ and praised, “Our Tongtong is so amazing, recognizing jasmine and chrysanthemums.”
“Tongtong has recently beco obsessed with this book.”
Bai Yiyi said with a chuckle.
“This is a good thing. If Tongtong doesn’t beco a doctor, it would be such a pity. When she gets older, she can start learning about traditional Chinese dicine and the herbal classics,” Wen Ran teased with a smile.
“Ranran, you sound just like your brother,” replied Bai Yiyi.
Bai Yiyi gave her a mock glare, her words seeming to complain but actually filled with a mother’s pride.
Initially, Bai Yiyi did not feel proud of Tongtong’s fondness for playing doctor.
But now, for so reason, seeing Tongtong interested in all things dical made her feel an unspoken surge of pride.
Last night, after returning ho, Gu Kai read to Tongtong and explained to her the benefits of jasmine and chrysanthemums. He even seriously said that once Tongtong finished this book, he would let her read the herbal classics.
The Gu Family is a century-old dical family. They might lack other things, but they certainly don’t lack a variety of dical books.
And Tongtong has shown an unusual interest in dicine from a young age, which makes her father, Gu Kai, brim with pride.
Wen Ran laughed in astonishnt, “Really? My brother said the sa thing. Then Tongtong will surely beco an excellent doctor in the future.”
“We’ll see what she’s interested in. If Tongtong remains this interested, I won’t stop her,” said Bai Yiyi, her eyes softly smiling.
After chatting briefly, Wen Ran steered the conversation to the matter at hand, gently saying, “Yiyi, don’t take to heart what was in the newspaper today. My brother and Mo Xiuchen had an appointnt with the editor-in-chief this morning, and they should be able to et with that journalist to find out who is behind this.”
“When I first saw the report, I was very angry. But after a morning, I don’t think it matters anymore. Let them say whatever they want; I’ve done nothing after all,” Bai Yiyi said, her expression tensing montarily before quickly returning to normal.
Hearing her say this, Wen Ran felt sowhat relieved, “That’s good. Did my brother tell you that he wants to go public with Tongtong’s identity?”
“He ntioned it.”
Bai Yiyi nodded.
They had always refrained from revealing Tongtong’s identity. Initially, it was because Gu Kai was in a relationship with Fang Zhiwei, and they felt it was not proper to reveal Tongtong’s identity.
Later, even though Gu Kai and Fang Zhiwei broke up, he went abroad.
It has only been a month since he returned from overseas.
With such an incident, it seems unfavorable to keep hiding it. Rather than letting journalists exaggerate and reveal it, it might be better to co out directly with Tongtong’s background.
Bai Yiyi was not afraid of them writing nonsense about her, but she feared that Tongtong might get hurt, that others might see Tongtong through tinted glasses. Tongtong is two years old and is going to start school next year.

Bai Yiyi’s voice was soft.
This morning, she was harsh towards Gu Kai because she had just seen the report and was angry.
“We still don’t know who leaked the information to the dia, but we all believe that soone must have revealed sothing to them. That’s why, after so long, they suddenly reported on you and my brother and even knew so past grudges of the older generation,” Wen Ran said hesitantly, then gently explained further, hoping that this incident could further develop the relationship between Bai Yiyi and her brother.
