“An Lin, you seem pretty scared of now,” Qin Mu said casually with a narrowed gaze.
An Lin’s eyes flickered as she shook her head in denial, “No, why would I be scared of you?”
“Then why can’t you look at ? In the past, you never dodged like this,” Qin Mu looked at her puzzled.
An Lin glared at him, stood up, and found an excuse to slip away: “I’ll go to the restroom for a bit.”

After the call with An Lin, Wen Ran watched alone for a few minutes before she dialed Mo Xiuchen’s number out of boredom.
The phone rang twice, and Mo Xiuchen’s voice ca through gently over the waves, “Ranran, have the three little ones gone to sleep?”
“How did you know?”
Wen Ran chuckled softly, her tender voice carrying a hint of coquetry.

Mo Xiuchen laughed heartily on the phone, “Of course I know, without the three of them asleep, you wouldn’t have the ti to call . Only when they’re asleep do you think of .”
