Turning his head to see her pale face, Gu Kai’s brow furrowed slightly as he said calmly, “A patient has died; the situation is getting more complex. All the evidence so far is against Wen’s Pharmaceutical Factory. The patient’s family was so agitated yesterday; today, things will be even worse.”
“How could this happen?”
Bai Yiyi asked in disbelief.
“Yesterday, not a single problem was found in so many drugs; how could it be determined that it was our dication that caused it?”
“Bai Yiyi, don’t be naive. This matter isn’t that simple. I need to go to the hospital now; you go ho and take care of Tongtong.”
“I’m coming with you.”
Seeing Gu Kai take off his gloves and lab coat, Bai Yiyi’s expression changed as she turned and headed towards the door.
Exiting the elevator, Gu Kai spoke in a serious tone and with determination, “You haven’t been ho all night; what if Tongtong wakes up and can’t find you? Go ho first.”
Bai Yiyi frowned, “Are you worried that the deceased’s family might act out and harm ?”
“I don’t have the leisure to worry about that.”
After finishing his words, Gu Kai reached out his hand for her car keys, “I’ll drive.”
“I’m not going ho.” Bai Yiyi pursed her lips stubbornly, refusing to hand over the keys.

In the suburbs, Mo Xiuchen got out of bed and changed his clothes imdiately after finishing the call with Wen Jin.
Since he had set his phone to vibrate last night, Wen Ran was unaware of the call from Wen Jin.
After freshening up, Mo Xiuchen ca out and saw Wen Ran sitting on the bed watching him, paused then flashed a faint smile, and said gently, “Ranran, it’s still early, go back to sleep for a while.”
Wen Ran had just woken up as well; seeing him not around, she sat up.
Her eyes, still hazy with sleep, looked at him, “Mo Xiuchen, why are you up so early?”
Mo Xiuchen hesitated for a mont, walked to the bedside, bent over, and tenderly kissed her forehead, whispering softly, “Ranran, I just received a call from Ah Jin; I need to go to the hospital. If you can’t sleep, go check on the three little guys, and I’ll call you later.”
As soon as he said that, Wen Ran’s face, which was still oblivious a second before, instantly showed deep concern. She grabbed his arm with her hand, anxiously asking, “What happened?”
“Ranran, don’t get agitated, there was an incident, a patient died.”

Mo Xiuchen took the stairs two at a ti, quickly moving towards the door, “Yep, I got the call. Where are you now?”

Qin Mu’s morose voice reached Mo Xiuchen’s ear, causing his steps to falter slightly.
