Chapter 1340: 1339 Believe in You
Gu Kai’s lips curved into a smile as he reached out his large hand to hold Bai Yiyi’s hand, which trembled slightly. A sparkle flashed in his eyes and the smile on his lips deepened.
“Alright.”
Seeing her father finally holding her mother’s hand in front of everyone, Tongtong imdiately let go of her mother and started clapping her hands excitedly.
“Brother, Yiyi, you two should have gotten together long ago. Look, Tongtong is so happy now,” Wen Ran joked with a smile, while Ziyi, Momo, and Xinxin, who were playing happily nearby, heard the clapping and imdiately ran over.
The three of them didn’t know why but just saw Tongtong clapping and joined in with her.
Bai Yiyi felt her cheeks heat up at the scene, but Gu Kai had a radiant smile as he led her to the dining table and gallantly pulled out a chair for her, “Miss Bai, please, take a seat!”

Bai Yiyi glared at him slightly and sat down in the chair he had pulled out.
Wen Jin watched Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi getting along pleasantly, feeling hesitant once again about whether or not to tell him that Li En wanted to et him.

This al took over an hour due to having four little ones to take care of, hence the length.
Tongtong and Momo were the first to finish eating; they clamored to go out to play, so Wen Ran and Bai Yiyi took them to the room next door.
After playing for just a couple of minutes, the two little ones needed to go to the bathroom and insisted on going together, shouting that they needed to poop.
“Ranran, I’ll take Tongtong to the restroom outside.” Bai Yiyi led Tongtong out of the private room to the restroom.
Tongtong wouldn’t let Bai Yiyi into the stall, “Mommy, it’s stinky, cover your nose.”
She pushed Bai Yiyi out while demonstrating how to cover her nose, signaling that she also needed to cover her nose outside.
Bai Yiyi felt a softness in her heart and said gently, “Tongtong, Mommy isn’t afraid of the sll. Hurry and pull down your pants, Mommy will wait for you out here.”
“Okay.”
Tongtong crisply replied.
From behind the stall door, Tongtong called out uneasily, “Mommy.”
“Mommy is here, don’t hurry.” Bai Yiyi responded gently from outside. Tongtong giggled twice, was quiet for a minute, then called again, “Mommy.”
“I’m here.”
“Cover your nose.” Tongtong covered her nose inside, her voice sounding a bit nasal.
Bai Yiyi replied with amusent, “Okay, Mommy is covering her nose.”
The restroom door was pushed open from outside and soone entered; Bai Yiyi did not turn around but softly focused her gaze on the stall door where Tongtong was.
“Yiyi.”
A surprised voice ca from behind, Bai Yiyi turned her head, and to her astonishnt, the person who entered was Fang Zhiwei, “Sister Wei.”
Fang Zhiwei walked over and said with a smile, “What a coincidence! You’re dining here at Yi Pin Xuan, is it for work or are you here with friends?”
“Mommy.”
Just as she finished speaking, Tongtong’s voice ca from the stall again.
Hearing this, Fang Zhiwei glanced at the cubicle, “Yiyi, you ca with Tongtong, don’t tell you’re having dinner with Ah Kai.”
Bai Yiyi’s gaze flickered, and she honestly admitted, “Not just him, but also Ranran, Mo General, President Wen, and many others.”
“I heard that Yi Pin Xuan Pavilion is now under Haochen’s subsidiary, so it must have been Mo Xiuchen treating everyone. I haven’t seen Ranran for a long ti; how are those three little treasures doing?”
Upon seeing Bai Yiyi, Fang Zhiwei forgot her original intention of going to the restroom to chat idly with her.
“They’re all doing well. Sister Wei, did you also co with friends?”
“Yes, I ca with a classmate. Yiyi, did Ah Kai tell you about the parcel I received a few days ago?” Fang Zhiwei suddenly changed the topic while staring intently at Bai Yiyi.
The smile on Bai Yiyi’s face stiffened slightly, “He ntioned it. Sister Wei, thank you for trusting . Although I don’t know who is stirring up trouble, that person definitely harbors ill intentions.”
“Ah Kai said, it might be Qian Songnan; he had ntioned before that he would investigate thoroughly,” Fang Zhiwei paused, then continued, “To be honest, when I saw that letter that night, I suddenly didn’t know whether to believe it or not, so I called Ah Kai.”
“He said, if it weren’t for the incident at your factory, he would have told the results sooner; it was just because of your factory’s issue that he temporarily forgot to tell . You know, I trust him, and upon reflection, I felt I should also trust you. You had told before that you do not like Ah Kai; if you don’t like him, you certainly wouldn’t do such things for him.”
Bai Yiyi’s eyes flickered a few tis, feeling as if Fang Zhiwei implied more with her words, not sure if it was her own misunderstanding.
Unsure what to say just then, Tongtong’s voice ca from the cubicle, “Mom, I’m done.”
“Okay, wait, Mommy will co to wipe you.” Bai Yiyi smiled apologetically at Fang Zhiwei, opened the cubicle door, and went in to help Tongtong.
As she led Tongtong out of the cubicle, Fang Zhiwei ca out of her cubicle as well. Out of politeness, Bai Yiyi asked, “Sister Wei, do you want to co with Tongtong and to the private room?”
“Sure, I’ll just say hello over there.”
Fang Zhiwei cheerfully agreed and followed Bai Yiyi and Tongtong back to the private room.
Gu Kai and others were still having dinner. Wen Ran had just managed Momo, who returned to the table, so Wen Ran had to follow back to the table as well.
Seeing Fang Zhiwei return with Bai Yiyi, Gu Kai revealed a hint of surprise in his eyes, querying Bai Yiyi with a glance.
Bai Yiyi avoided his gaze and just said to Wen Ran, “Ranran, I just ran into Sister Wei. She said she hasn’t seen you and the three little ones including Ziyi in a long while…”
“Sister Wei, are you here alone, or with friends?”
Being the wife of the president at Yi Pin Xuan, Wen Ran naturally had to greet Fang Zhiwei.
Mo Xiuchen glanced at them and then at Gu Kai, signaling him with his eyes to behave properly.
The camaraderie between a past and a current girlfriend is indeed rare.
Wen Jin lightly smiled, Mo Zixuan and Jiang Liu remained quiet. Fang Zhiwei spoke a few words to Wen Ran and then looked over at Gu Kai.
“Ah Kai, it’s gotten so late, and I haven’t received a call from that person. What do you think, will he not call anymore?”
Aside from Bai Yiyi who knew Fang Zhiwei was referring to the parcel issue, everyone else was puzzled.
Gu Kai casually curled his lips, saying lightly, “That ans he feels guilty and actually has no such evidence. Just this afternoon, Qian Songnan was already taken into custody, so you probably won’t receive any calls.”
He paused, then asked, “Did you call Lu Zhiyan?”
“No, I trust you.”
Fang Zhiwei smiled and turned to glance at Bai Yiyi standing beside her, jokingly said, “To be honest with you, I had already asked Yiyi if she likes you, and she said no. So, I have no reason to believe that person’s rumors.”
