Chapter 1544: 1543 Is there such a dark little white mouse like you?

The next morning, Tang Yang ca to Qin Mu and An Lin’s house to mooch a breakfast and announced that he was going to stay a few more days in City C.

“Didn’t you say you had to rush back to A City early this morning? Why are you staying a few more days?”

An Lin pouted as she reached for the plate of vegetable hearts.

Tang Yang’s mouth twitched. He forced a smile and said, “An Lin, I’ve decided to stay and be your guinea pig. Stop torturing Ah Mu, and feel free to experint on .”

“Don’t insult the guinea pig. Is there such a dark guinea pig as you?” An Lin stared at his handso face for a few seconds and then burst into laughter.

“Ah Mu!”

Tang Yang’s handso face turned sour as he looked at Qin Mu with displeasure. “What’s with your wife?”

“An Lin was just telling the truth. If you don’t agree, we can take you to compare with the guinea pig later.”

Turned out, when Qin Mu prioritized love over friendship, no one could match him.

Tang Yang looked at Qin Mu as if he were a monster. “Ah Mu, you’ve changed. Have you been assimilated by hanging out with Mo Xiuchen all the ti?”

“You’re not as pale as the guinea pig. What does this have to do with Mo Xiuchen?”

An Lin swallowed the food in her mouth and asked, amused.

Seeing that she liked eating vegetable hearts, Qin Mu placed another one into her bowl and said gently, “It’s good to eat more vegetables. I’ll stir-fry so for you again tomorrow.”

“An Lin, don’t twist my words. Ah Mu hangs out with Mo Xiuchen all the ti, so he’s been assimilated into a wife’s servant. Look at how he’s changed beyond recognition now. Tsk, tsk, tsk.”

Tang Yang sighed and shook his head. “Married n are really scary.”

“How did the chat with Feng Wanfeng go last night? Was it her who asked you to stay?” Qin Mu changed the topic, and Tang Yang’s expression instantly stiffened.

He glared at Qin Mu resentfully, ntioning exactly the topic he didn’t want to talk about.

“I stayed to catch Yao Dewei, not for any woman. Ah Mu, don’t lump in with you.”

Tang Yang’s tone was harsh with a hint of anger.

Obviously, the conversation with Feng Wanfeng last night was not pleasant.

An Lin blinked and asked in confusion, “Didn’t my cousin tell you a little more inside story? Ah Mu brought you to City C to catch a wanted criminal. Don’t let personal grievances affect the important matters.”

“Tch, you guys overestimate Feng Wanfeng.”

As Tang Yang finished speaking, the doorbell rang.

An Lin said, “It must be my cousin and Jinchen.”

Monts later, she brought Feng Wanfeng and Jinchen to the dining room. “Cousin, have you had breakfast?”

“We’ve eaten. Jinchen wanted to find you, so I had to bring him up.” Feng Wanfeng was surprised to see Tang Yang here. Whatever happened between them last night made the atmosphere feel different, An Lin noticed.

Tang Yang did not greet Feng Wanfeng. He just picked Jinchen up and placed him on a chair, asking if he wanted to eat.

“Jinchen, how about Aunt takes you out to play today?” An Lin swept her gaze over Feng Wanfeng and Tang Yang and asked Jinchen with a bright smile.

“Aunt, I want to stay in City C to study. Can you take to find a school?”

Little Jinchen wasn’t interested in playing; he wanted to go to school.

An Lin was enlightened, “Of course, no problem. Since Jinchen loves studying so much, Aunt will go with you to find a school today.”

Jinchen’s little face imdiately lit up with happiness, “Thank you, Aunt.”

“Good boy.” An Lin smiled and reached out to pat his head.

After breakfast, Qin Mu went back to the company to handle so business affairs, while An Lin and Tang Yang accompanied Feng Wanfeng and her son to find a school.

This morning, when they talked about finding a school, Jinchen was very happy. But after coming out of the first school, Jinchen drooped his head and said unhappily that he didn’t want to go to school anymore.

An Lin looked through the rearview mirror at the back seat, where Jinchen was in a bad mood, and asked with concern, “Jinchen, do you not like the school we just visited?”

“Mm.”

Jinchen pursed his lips, his little face full of unhappiness.

“Tell Aunt, why don’t you like it?”

There was a hint of pity in An Lin’s eyes. Earlier at the school, after the principal asked his na and who his parents were, his expression changed.

Although it improved later, Jinchen’s young heart was already hurt.

Jinchen tightly pursed his lips and didn’t answer An Lin. Instead, he turned to Tang Yang, sitting on his left, and hesitated, “Uncle Tang.”

“Jinchen, what’s up?”

Tang Yang had just finished reading an email. He put away his phone imdiately when he heard Jinchen calling him and turned to him with a gentle gaze.

“I want to take your surna. Can you be my dad?”

“Jinchen.”

Jinchen’s words made Feng Wanfeng’s face change dramatically as she called out in surprise.

“Don’t scare the child.”

Feng Wanfeng’s shout drew a reprimand from Tang Yang. He raised his hand to pat Jinchen on the head and gently asked, “Why do you want to take my surna and have as your dad?”

Seeing that Tang Yang didn’t object, Jinchen beca even more courageous, “I hate that father who does bad things. I want a hero dad like Uncle Tang. In A City, those kids always scolded , saying my dad was a jerk polluting the air.”

The more Jinchen spoke, the more aggrieved he looked, and his little mouth pouted, but he seed determined to explain it clearly. He caught his breath and continued, “I don’t want the surna Yao anymore, nor do I want him as my dad. Uncle Tang, can you be my dad? I’ll listen to you from now on.”

An Lin noticed Feng Wanfeng’s eyes were moist.

Hearing Jinchen’s words made An Lin’s nose tingle with sadness. What Yao Dewei did brought condemnation on Jinchen, which was really too much…

“Jinchen, you can’t just choose who your dad is.”

Tang Yang spoke gently, slowing down his speech as much as possible, using words Jinchen could understand: “No matter how bad your dad is, it has nothing to do with you, as long as you beco a good person.”

“If you don’t want the surna Yao, you can use your mom’s surna.”

“Don’t you want to be my dad?”

Jinchen looked at Tang Yang expectantly.

“Jinchen, didn’t Uncle Tang just say? You can’t simply decide who your dad is. From the mont you were born, it was already destined who your dad is.”

“How about this, I’ll be your godfather, which is also a kind of dad, is that okay?”

Tang Yang thought for a mont and offered a compromise. He didn’t ask Feng Wanfeng if she agreed.

Feng Wanfeng’s expression froze, but before she could speak, Jinchen smiled, though he didn’t fully understand. “Then can I say in the future that my dad is Tang Yang?”

“Yes.”

Tang Yang nodded with a smile.

“Great! No one will scold anymore. Daddy, I’ll definitely listen to you.”

In less than two months, this nearly four-year-old child decided to accept a godfather on his own accord.

As Jinchen’s biological mother, Feng Wanfeng had a mix of emotions she couldn’t put into words.

An Lin looked through the rearview mirror at Jinchen’s happy smile, feeling like a jar of mixed spices had been knocked over in her heart, with all sorts of feelings flooding in.

She pressed her lips, suppressed her emotions, and with a smile asked, “Jinchen, shall we go to the next school now?”
