That night, Feng Wanfeng’s words to Yao Dewei were overheard by An Lin.
She told Yao Dewei that the person Qin Mu liked wasn’t An Lin, but Wen Ran.
Recalling this, An Lin instinctively pressed her lips and slowly said, “Ah Mu, call Mo Xiuchen and have him protect Ranran and Momo and the others.”

“Yao Dewei hates us. It wouldn’t be good if Ranran gets hurt because of it.”
“That won’t happen.” Qin Mu hadn’t known previously that Feng Wanfeng had said those things to Yao Dewei.
Later, in the car, Qin Mu specifically explained to An Lin, “I agreed to Mo Xiuchen’s wedding not to prevent Yao Dewei from hurting Ranran. I didn’t know Feng Wanfeng had said those things to him.”
An Lin was looking out the car window and was taken aback when she suddenly heard Qin Mu’s explanation.
Then she turned her head to et Qin Mu’s deep black eyes, and she said nonchalantly, “I didn’t an that.”
“That’s good. I didn’t want you to misunderstand.”
Qin Mu freed one hand from the steering wheel to hold An Lin’s hand.
An Lin didn’t pull away; she let him hold her hand, feeling the warmth from his palm seep into her skin, warming her whole heart.
She glanced sideways, her eyes soft as she looked at Qin Mu.
“An Lin, stay by my side today.” Qin Mu’s voice was gentle.
An Lin nodded, “Rest assured, I’ll definitely stay with you today.”
She wasn’t afraid. As long as she was with him, she feared nothing.
At the hotel, Mo Xiuchen and Luo Haofeng were already there.
“An Lin, let’s go upstairs first; the makeup artist and hairstylist are already waiting for us.” Wen Ran stepped forward and took An Lin’s hand.
Jing Xiaocha followed beside Wen Ran, cheerfully greeting An Lin.
“Momo, where are Ziyi and Xin Xin?”
An Lin glanced around the hall, not seeing the small children.
Wen Ran and Jing Xiaocha each took one of An Lin’s arms and headed to the elevator, “The three of them are at ho. Mo Xiuchen said bringing them would be too troubleso.”
“Mo Xiuchen is worried about tiring you out,” An Lin joked, laughing.
Jing Xiaocha chid in, “Sister An Lin, do you think so too? I thought so too. Mo General is so good to Sister Wen that countless unmarried won are envious to death.”
“Little girl, how do you know so much?”
Wen Ran glared at her playfully.
Jing Xiaocha stuck out her tongue as the three of them stepped into the elevator, and she continued, “Of course, I know. I heard several tis in our school, girls talk about Mo General. Many won say they would laugh even in their dreams if they could find such an outstanding and devoted man as Mo General.”
“Haha, then ask your Sister Wen if she’s ever laughed in her dreams.”
An Lin laughed as she looked at Wen Ran. Through the glass window, Wen Ran gazed at the scenery outside.
Hearing their words, Wen Ran pinched her arm.
An Lin scread exaggeratedly, and Jing Xiaocha giggled, “Sister Wen, quickly tell if you’ve ever laughed in your dreams.”
“And what about you, what kind of man are you looking for? Tell , and I’ll tell you, okay.” Wen Ran smiled as she looked at Jing Xiaocha.
Not expecting to be asked back, Jing Xiaocha’s eyes twinkled a couple of tis, possibly thinking of her crush, her fair face blushing with two red marks.
“Looks like Xiaocha is starting to feel spring,” An Lin noticed Jing Xiaocha’s blushing face with keen eyes.
Jing Xiaocha let go of her arm, was the first to step out of the elevator, and strode down the corridor ahead.
“Xiaocha, do you really have soone you like? Co on, let us gossip a bit. Is it a guy from your school, or who’s the idol?”
Wen Ran and An Lin exchanged a glance, both teasing her.
“I heard a guy from your school likes you, Xiaocha, is it true?” Wen Ran reached out and pulled Jing Xiaocha, who was walking ahead, tilting her head with an inquisitive look at her.
Although Jing Xiaocha blushed, she seed unwilling to be misunderstood, “Sister Wen, who did you hear that from?”
“Never mind who I heard it from, just tell if what I said is true. Has a guy from your school confessed to you?”
“Our Xiaocha is so excellent and lovely. I’m sure many guys have confessed, right?” An Lin waited eagerly to gossip.
“A senior confessed to , but I turned him down.”
Jing Xiaocha admitted frankly.
She secretly pondered how Wen Ran knew about it.

In the private room, An Lin sat in front of the makeup table, where the makeup artist and hairstylist had prepared everything, waiting for her to arrive.

Mo Xiuchen, Luo Haofeng, Wen Jin, Lu Zhiyan, and Qin Mu sat on the sofa, with a cup of coffee in front of each of them.
The LCD screen showed the hotel surveillance footage.
This hotel, of course, was part of the Haochen Group.
“Mo Xiuchen, didn’t Ziyi and the others co to the hotel?”
Qin Mu picked up the coffee in front of him, his eyes glancing at the LCD screen as he asked casually.
Mo Xiuchen leaned his tall body against the back of the chair, speaking nonchalantly, “They are at ho. For an occasion like today, I didn’t let them co, and Tongtong is at my house too.”
“Ah Kai and Bai Yiyi didn’t take Tongtong along to play?”
A slight surprise flashed across Qin Mu’s face.
Those two actually left their daughter at ho.
Mo Xiuchen shrugged, “No.”
“And they said, if not for Mo Xiuchen trying to sche against Ah Kai, would he have taken Yiyi and left early?”
Qin Mu beca even more curious. When he received Mo Xiuchen’s call in the morning, he knew that Ah Kai wouldn’t leave with Bai Yiyi without reason.
Turns out it was related to Mo Xiuchen.
Seeing him squint, Mo Xiuchen snorted lightly, “It was Jing Xiaocha who ssed things up. I shouldn’t have asked her.”
“Jing Xiaocha is clever but ultimately too pure. How could she compare with Ah Kai’s cunning, tricked by just a few of his words? You should have thought of that.”
Luo Haofeng laughed lightly, with a look like he was watching a show.
No matter what the play was, it was still a play.
And as for him, being a bystander was enough.
What’s more, he had a VIP guest card to sit down and watch the show at leisure.
“Haofeng is right, Jing Xiaocha is no match for Ah Kai. I was curious why you spoke up for Jing Xiaocha before. Now I see, you had a secret deal with her.”
After finishing speaking, Wen Jin elegantly sipped his coffee before setting it down again.
