Qin Mu briefly explained, omitting the part where Tang Yang said he’s coming to find him.

The two talked as they walked into the bathroom one after the other.
An Lin let the water run, while Qin Mu naturally took off his clothes. He had been in the hospital for over two months and had actually recovered well.
However, due to the nature of his injury, he still needed to recuperate.
As soon as his clothes ca off, the scar on his back was revealed.
An Lin stood to the side, taking the clothes he had removed. When her gaze t the scar on his back, her heart couldn’t help but ache.
Even after more than two months, seeing his injury almost daily, An Lin still couldn’t remain calm.
Looking at the scar reminded her of that day in the chapel when this man protected her in his arms, blocking bullets with his body.
Qin Mu seed to read her thoughts and lightly curled his thin lips, smiling, “In a few more days, this scar should disappear on its own.”
“How could it just disappear? You were injured years ago, and there’s still a scar.”
“If you don’t want to see it, I can ask Ah Kai for a scar removal ointnt.”
“No need, keep it; I think it looks quite nice,” An Lin said with a smile, her eyes overflowing with tender emotions.
Qin Mu raised his eyebrows, gazing at her smiling eyes, “Nice-looking?”
“Hmm.”
An Lin nodded, stepped forward, and hugged his waist from behind, resting her face against his back, feeling the scar.
With An Lin’s cheek gently pressed against his back, Qin Mu felt a certain part of his heart soften, a gentle smile forming at his lips, while a layer of tenderness slowly appeared in his eyes as dark as onyx.
An Lin’s soft voice sounded by his ear, “When I see this scar, I think of our wedding.”
“The wedding wasn’t completed; is that very regrettable?”
Qin Mu’s voice unknowingly gained a hint of fondness.
“No, Ah Mu, thank you for protecting that day.” This sentence, An Lin hadn’t said since Qin Mu was injured.
She only said then that she didn’t want him getting hurt to protect her if there were danger again.
But now she wanted to say thank you to him.
To express the gratitude in her heart, letting him know that his actions moved her more than anything else.
It was the best proof he cared about her.

An Lin’s hands around his waist tightened slightly, Qin Mu turned his head to glance at her. His large hand gently pried her hand open, turned around, and affectionately touched her face, “Let’s take a shower first.”

When Mo Xiuchen returned from the children’s room to the master bedroom, Wen Ran was on the phone.
From her tone, Mo Xiuchen knew she was definitely talking with Bai Xiaoxiao.
Mo Xiuchen found clothes for himself, went to shower, and ca out to see Wen Ran still chatting on the phone, he gestured for her to end the call.
“Xiaoxiao, don’t call again before you return; every ti you get my hopes up in vain, it’s too disappointing. Let know once you book the ticket.”
“Or I can just appear in front of you directly.”
Bai Xiaoxiao’s tone carried a hint of dissatisfaction, but Wen Ran raised her eyebrows, “That would be best, saves the trip to the airport.”

He got into bed, pulled Wen Ran into his arms, and gently smoothed her hair, tucking it all behind her ear, “If Xiaoxiao returns to the country, will she and ng Ke get engaged?”
“Probably.”
Wen Ran blinked and said with a giggle, “I saw Aunt Qiao last weekend, she said ng Ke’s parents are already anxious.”
“Really?”
Mo Xiuchen smiled, feigning an unintentional tone.
Wen Ran nodded, leaning against his chest, her gentle voice sounding at his heart, “Xiaoxiao was saying earlier she’s being urged to marry. If not compared to , she’s still very young; she could play around for two or three more years before marrying without issue.”
A hint of concern flashed in Mo Xiuchen’s eyes, his large hand gently resting on her shoulder blade.
Though Wen Ran spoke in a joking tone, she didn’t think marrying young was a grievance, “Aunt Qiao often compares with Xiaoxiao, saying Ziyi and Momo are already so grown. She’s urging Xiaoxiao to quickly return to marry and have girl and boy twins for her to dote on.”
“Girl and boy twins aren’t so easily born; Bai Xiaoxiao and ng Ke can’t have them.”
Mo Xiuchen’s words elicited a glare from Wen Ran, “Xiuchen, it’s fine to say that now, but don’t say it in front of Aunt Qiao.”
Her words paused softly, she thought about it carefully, then looked up at Mo Xiuchen’s handso eyes, “Xiuchen, how can you be sure Xiaoxiao and ng Ke can’t have girl and boy twins?”
“Because the person Xiaoxiao loves isn’t ng Ke.”
Mo Xiuchen finished speaking and then sighed lightly, “Honestly, I still think Haofeng is more suitable for Xiaoxiao, Ranran, don’t be mad.”
Wen Ran was taken aback.
She lowered her eyes, her gaze falling on Mo Xiuchen’s hands holding hers, a vague emotion quietly creeping into her heart.
The bedroom suddenly fell silent.
Wen Ran was lost in her thoughts, and Mo Xiuchen hadn’t spoken either.

Wen Ran thought about Bai Xiaoxiao, Mo Xiuchen about Luo Haofeng.
He recalled the conversation on the way to the airport after dinner when he sent Luo Haofeng off.
Initially, Luo Haofeng planned to stay overnight and return tomorrow, but Mother Luo called both morning and afternoon urging him to go ho.
Luo Haofeng had to book a flight to return to City B at night.
