“Xiaoxiao, ng Ke’s mother didn’t just invite your mother to dinner, she invited both of our families to have dinner together tonight.”

“Xiaoxiao, do you not want to get married so soon, or do you not want to marry ng Ke? You need to think it through.”

“That’s good. If you don’t like ng Ke, Dad has t many talented young n over the past two years. I can host a gathering for you to et more people.”

“Dad, does Mom know about this?”
She covered her mouth with one hand, smiling at Mr. Bai with twinkling eyes.
Her playful and cute appearance made Mr. Bai chuckle, “Your mom doesn’t know yet. She has always liked ng Ke and believes he can be good to you for a lifeti.”
“Dad, don’t you feel the sa way?”
Bai Xiaoxiao blinked and asked with a smile.
Mr. Bai chuckled, “Of course, I think so too. But the person who has to spend a lifeti with him is you. If you don’t like him, it doesn’t matter how much we approve.”

At noon, while Bai Xiaoxiao was having lunch with ng Ke, ng Ke gently asked, “Xiaoxiao, do you know about tonight’s dinner gathering?”

A crisp female voice suddenly sounded.
Bai Xiaoxiao turned to look and saw Xu Wanqi had quietly appeared behind her.
ng Ke had been too focused on dining with Bai Xiaoxiao, all his attention was on her.
Hearing Xu Wanqi’s voice, he finally looked up, and upon seeing her, his brow furrowed slightly.
His eyes showed a hint of displeasure.
Xu Wanqi seed oblivious to ng Ke’s displeasure and smiled brightly at them, “Senior, I ca to eat with my cousin. As soon as I entered, I saw you and Miss Bai and ca over to say hi.”
She gestured toward the nearby table.
Indeed, a woman dressed sensually sat there. Upon seeing ng Ke look over, she gave a charming smile and waved slightly.
Bai Xiaoxiao heard Xu Wanqi ntion her cousin, which reminded her of Xiao Yuting’s words.

“Xiaoxiao is Bai’s daughter; many in G City know her. But she doesn’t need to know everyone who knows her.”
ng Ke replied casually.
Bai Xiaoxiao rely glanced at him without speaking.
Xu Wanqi laughed, “Senior, although Miss Bai is Bai’s daughter, not everyone knows her. Besides, my cousin seems to know Miss Bai for so other reason.”
“What reason?”
ng Ke used to not know Xiao Yuting, nor was he aware that Xiao Yuting and Xu Wanqi’s cousin were once in a relationship.
Xu Wanqi was waiting for ng Ke to ask.
Bai Xiaoxiao’s face showed an odd expression as she fed a piece of at into her mouth, listening to Xu Wanqi say, “I heard from my cousin that Miss Bai used to like a man nad Xiao Yuting a lot, and that man was my cousin’s ex-boyfriend.”
By this point, ng Ke’s expression had turned sowhat unpleasant.
Xu Wanqi didn’t stop, “I heard that my cousin and her ex-boyfriend were watching a movie once, and Miss Bai went too. Miss Bai, don’t you rember?”
“I think your cousin has poor mory; I don’t know her.”
Bai Xiaoxiao t Xu Wanqi’s mocking gaze with cold eyes.
She had indeed done many foolish things in the past.
But Xu Wanqi was lying.
She didn’t rember this cousin of Xu Wanqi.
“Maybe Xiao Yuting had too many girlfriends, and my cousin was just one of them. Miss Bai can’t rember, but I heard Miss Bai had a marriage arrangent with Xiao Yuting. That’s not fake, is it?”
Xu Wanqi pretended not to see ng Ke’s dark expression and smiled brightly at Bai Xiaoxiao.
