A sharp ringtone suddenly pierced the silence.
It interrupted the intimacy in the room and separated the two passionately kissing people.
Bai Xiaoxiao released her arms from around Luo Haofeng’s neck, took several deep breaths of fresh air, and then hastily opened her bag to take out her phone.
The call was from her father.

"Talk to your mother nicely and don’t make her angry."
Mr. Bai smiled encouragingly at Bai Xiaoxiao.
Bai Xiaoxiao went upstairs, her steps particularly small and slow as she headed to her room.
She knew how much her mother opposed her being with Luo Haofeng.

"You won’t be happy marrying ng Ke, and you think you’d be happy being with Luo Haofeng?"
Mother Bai was genuinely angry.
Seeing Xiaoxiao’s change in expression, she seriously asked, "Xiaoxiao, do you think breaking up with ng Ke would make agree to you being with Luo Haofeng? Let tell you, that’s impossible."
Xiaoxiao’s eyes flickered with sadness, her voice softening, "Mom, breaking up with ng Ke has nothing to do with anyone else."
"Really?"
Mother Bai didn’t believe Xiaoxiao’s words at all.
She had just gone to City B on a business trip with Xiao Yuting.
And after just a few days back, she broke up with ng Ke.
"Mom, what I’m saying is true. I broke up with ng Ke because I don’t like him, and I don’t want to force myself to be with soone I don’t like. It’s unjoyful."
It might have been the sadness in Xiaoxiao’s voice and her aura of sorrow that softened Mother Bai’s heart.
The sharpness in her eyes diminished slightly.
She sighed lightly and said softly, "Xiaoxiao, it’s not that I’m heartless. Luo Haofeng’s mother isn’t a kind person. She hates , and by extension, she hates you too. She won’t agree to you being with her son."

The ssage was sent, and a reply ca quickly.

Great? What could be great about it!
Bai Xiaoxiao muttered softly.
Her mother promised not to interfere with her breakup with ng Ke but also made her promise not to be with Luo Haofeng.
For now, she didn’t want to tell Luo Haofeng about this.
He had traveled from City B to G City to see her in the late night; she couldn’t douse his enthusiasm.
